The 10 Best VPS Hosting in Europe for 2026:
Performance, Reliability & Value
Anyone who has had to search the internet for VPS options in Europe will know it could feel like navigating a maze – there’s so many options and also so many empty promises out there. For VPS servers in particular, one often need the speed you can only get from local data centers, excellent security, and the flexibility to scale up (or down) when the need arises. You also want to buy with confidence, knowing that the provider you choose and the plan you sign up for actually delivers.
Over the years as an IT professional, I have worked with numerous providers, and although most providers that were relevant 10 years ago still feature top of the search engines, they might not still be the best VPS options in Europe right now. Over the past few weeks, I have spent my time searching for the best VPS options, to give you the end user, a clearer picture of who to choose should you be in the market for a new VPS provider. My goal was to find the absolute best VPS hosting providers in Europe for real-world use, whether you're a developer needing a cheap staging plan, a business needing a secure foundation, or an agency managing client sites.
Here’s our list of the 10 best VPS providers in Europe.
1. Hostinger:
The Unbeatable Price-to-Performance Champion
![]()
Best for: Beginners and seasoned IT professionals alike, who are looking for an affordable, yet still dependable VPS plan, that doesn’t lack when it comes to performance.
European Data Centers: France, Lithuania, Netherlands, UK
Features: They have LiteSpeed Web Servers that comes with the LSCWP (LiteSpeed Cache), AMD EPYC CPUs, and blazing-fast NVMe disk drives. All plans include complimentary SSL certificates, automated daily backups, and Cloudflare-protected nameservers, and their prices are more than reasonable.
Hostinger is in my opinion one of the first, if not the first, providers one should look at if you are on the hunt for a new VPS provider in Europe. They have build a great reputation over the years for being ultra reliable and affordable at the same time. Their VPS plans, available in both Linux or Windows, start incredibly low, but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice speed, as they make use of LiteSpeed web servers with AMD EPYC processors, and blazing-fast NVMe storage drives on all their plans, and users get to choose between “shared resources” or “dedicated resources” when signing up. To manage your server with them is a breeze, as their custom created hPanel control panel is super-easy to use. All round, from specs to price ratio and support, Hostinger is a solid option!
The Good: Their VPS plans start at only $6.49 per month, making them super affordable for anyone and also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. When you sign up with them you get a LiteSpeed web server with AMD EPYC CPUs, NVMe drives, free weekly backups, firewall management, 1 public IP address, as well as a free domain for the first year – an incredible deal if you ask me.
The Downside: With Hostinger there really isn’t a downside in my opinion, but if I really have to choose one, it would probably be that they don’t offer phone support. In the past their servers used to be fully unmanaged, which was a huge downside for non-technical users, but nowadays it is AI-managed, combining full server control with real, built-in AI management. Talk about turning a negative into a positive!
2. Hosting.com (Formerly known as A2 Hosting):
Powerful Hosting That Doesn't Create Headaches
![]()
Best for: They are perfect for web developers, agencies, the environmentally conscious users, or anyone wanting a reliable VPS server complimented with excellent customer support.
Data Centers: Frankfurt, Germany
Features: Blazing-fast NVMe Disks, Free cPanel Solo, Free SSL Certificate, 100% Fully Managed, AMD EPYC CPUs, 99.99% Uptime Guarantee
A2 Hosting (now Hosting.com after their 2025 rebrand) has been around forever, and they’ve built up a solid reputation. They are based in the US, but their Frankfurt data center makes them a good option if you need your VPS sitting somewhere in Europe. What I like about them is their strong focus for speed - whether you are setting up a WordPress site or deploying a Laravel or Node.js app, the setup just works without much effort.
The Good: The performance you get is the main draw here. They only use LiteSpeed web servers paired with blazing-fast NVMe drives and AMD EPYC CPUs, and their custom caching layer ties it all together. I have used their servers on a couple of occasions before and can confirm that their page loads are snappy to say the least. Uptime has been rock solid in my experience, and their support team actually knows what they’re talking about. They give you a free SSL and cPanel Solo on all plans, which is nice if you’re not a command-line or technical person. Plus, you can choose between managed or unmanaged depending on how hands-on you want to be.
The downside: Those attractive intro prices you see on their site? They jump significantly at renewal. It’s frustrating, though honestly most hosts pull the same trick. Also, if you’re going the unmanaged route, their plans feel a little less flexible than what you’d get from a pure infrastructure provider like Hetzner or DigitalOcean.
3. ScalaHosting:
Powerful VPS Plans with a Smarter Control Panel
![]()
Best for: Anyone that is looking for ultra-reliable and high-performance VPS servers that comes with excellent support.
European Data Centers: Ireland, UK, Spain, Norway, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Finland, Sweden, Denmark
Features: AI WordPress Sitebuilder, Lighthouse Stats and Analytics, SSHield Security, Firewalls, Blazing-fast NVMe Disks, CPU up to 1.4GHz, 10 Gbps redundant network, Unmetered Bandwidth, Custom Spanel control panel.
ScalaHosting has always been about VPS servers, as this company was started in 2007 by Hristo Rusev, Vladislav Georgiev, and Lyubomir Lyubenov, with the aim to make VPS servers available and accessible to anyone. They offer managed as well as unmanaged VPS solutions, available in both Linux or Windows, that run on premium branded hardware, comes with an incredible “anytime unconditional” money-back guarantee, and support that is second to none, not to even mention all the extras like free SSL certificates, CDN (content delivery network), automatic backups, and root access. Should you be moving over from another provider they will also handle the migration for you with zero downtime!
The Good: ScalaHosting’s VPS plans give you all you need and then even more! The specs are excellent and it is clear they don’t try to save a buck when it comes to performance, and the security they include is more than adequate in my opinion. Even their support can’t be faulted, their Spanel control panel is super-easy to use, and they give their users a huge choice of data center locations in Europe to choose from. What’s not to like about them!
The Downside: They are not the cheapest, not even close. Their entry-level managed VPS plan for example will set you back $54.95 per month, making them one of the more expensive providers on my list.
4. Kamatera:
Unlimited Scaling with Flexible Pricing
![]()
Best for: Scalable Servers, Web Hosting Servers, App Servers, RDP (Remote Desktop Servers), Email Servers, as well as ERP & iOT Servers
European Data Centers: Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, UK, Germany, Italy
Features: Hourly as well as monthly billing, a 30-day free trial, load balancers, firewalls, private networks
Besides being highly scalable, affordable, and suited for pretty much any type of project, the main reason Kamatera made my list is for their sheer number of data centers they have in Europe. You are almost guaranteed to get a server location very close to your target audience when signing up with them. When it comes to performance you aren’t left behind either as all their servers (which start from only $4 per month) run on either Intel XEON or Cascade Lake CPUs with lightning-fast NVMe disk drives, and a healthy variety of operating systems such as AlmaLinux, Alpine Linux, FreeBSD, as well as some Windows options (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025), to name just a few.
The Good: They offer scalability that is almost unheard of - up to 104 vCPUs, excellent network quality and you only pay for what you use if you choose their hourly billing model. They cater for both Linux and Windows users.
The Downside: They might be a bit too technical for your average user and all their servers are unmanaged, which means you are responsible for patches, security etc. Also, they don’t include free backups or SSL certificates.
5. AccuWeb:
A Heavyweight of Affordable Resources
![]()
Best for: Users looking for affordable, scalable, very secure and performance driven VPS servers that offer superior control. Linux & Windows VPS servers, Forex Trading VPS servers.
European Data Centers: Sweden, Germany, UK, Ireland, France
Features: Enterprise-grade Servers, Blazing-fast NVMe storage, Full root access, Firewall, antivirus & DDoS protection, 99.9% uptime, Easy on the pocket, 7-day money back guarantee.
If your main aim is top-level resources that comes with affordable pricing and a more than decent choice of European data centers, then AccuWeb Hosting is hard to beat. This giant of the hosting world offers VPS plans in both Linux and Windows options that start from as little as $4.95 per month, and for this you get 1x vCPU, 4GB RAM, 50GB super-fast NVMe disk space, and 1 public IP address. This also comes with an uptime guarantee of 99.9%, and their security is excellent too as all their VPS plans sits behind strict firewalls and comes with anti-virus and DDoS attack protection. It’s just a pity that they don’t include a free SSL as well. Their support agents are knowledgeable and quick to assist, which makes AccuWeb is great option for a new VPS provider in the European area.
The Good: Incredibly cheap VPS servers if you look at the resources included. Their entry-level plan (the VPS Edge) starts at a mere $4.95 (introductory price). On their VPS servers you get a huge variety of control panels to choose from such as ISPConfig, Ajenti, Webmin, CWP, CyberPanel, aaPanel, and FastPanel. Their servers are reliable and suitable for any type of project.
The Downside: Their entry-level Windows VPS plan, although very affordable, only comes with 1GB RAM which unfortunately isn’t enough in my opinion for modern Windows setups. They also don’t include a free SSL certificate, which they could have easily done through Let’s Encrypt without any real cost to them.
6. Fasthosts:
The UK Hosting Veteran That's Been at It Since 1998
![]()
Best for: Game servers, hosting a small business site, or testing environments, database or email servers, VPN servers
European Data Centers: UK only
Features: Green hosting, ISO 27001-certified, Tier IV-certified, NVMe Disk Storage, 99.999% Uptime guarantee, Full root access, Scalable
Fasthosts have been around since 1998, making them one of the older UK-based hosting companies, and to have existed for that long is always a good thing because it means you are doing something right, and anyone that is in the market for a new VPS provider in Europe should definitely have a good look at this provider, especially if you want your data to actually stay in the UK (which still matters for GDPR and latency). Their entry-level Linux VPS plan costs only £1 per month (keep in mind this is introductory prices, and will jump quite a bit when it comes to renewal) for their "VPS Mini" plan, which comes with 1 vCPU, 1GB RAM, and 10GB NVMe storage – great price but probably only suited for a small single website, but the sweet spot is probably their VPS 1 plan that goes for £2 a month for the first six months, then renews at £3. This plan comes with 2GB RAM and 60GB blazing-fast NVMe disk space, and what I really like is that every plan includes unlimited traffic on a 1Gbit/s connection, and all your data is stored within their UK data centres, which are ISO 27001 certified and powered by 100% green renewable energy. Windows users aren’t left out in the cold either, as Fasthosts offer plans that come with a choice between the Windows Server 2019 or 2022 operating systems. Support is great too!
The Good: Their VPS plans are incredibly cheap, run on a fast network, and they only make use of premium NVMe SSD (Solid State) storage drives which are up to 7x faster than standard SSD.
The Downside: All their VPS plans, whether Linux or Windows, come with the Plesk control panel, which might be a bit of a let-down for users hoping to use more familiar control panels such as cPanel. Backups are also not included free of charge and will cost extra.
7. Namecheap:
Reliable VPS Plans That Won't Break the Bank
![]()
Best for: They are perfect for web developers, small businesses, and eCommerce websites, or anyone wanting a reliable VPS server complimented with excellent customer support.
European Data Centers: Uk, Netherlands
Features: Fast SSD Storage, 30-day money back guarantee, 24/7 support, affordable
Namecheap was started back in 2000 by Richard Kirkendall as a domain registrar but by 2007 they also ventured into hosting and is now a trusted name in the industry. Although they are based in the US, but their UK and Netherlands data centers make them a good option if you need your VPS sitting somewhere in Europe. What I like about them is their strong focus for speed, and the fact that they provide full root access, which means you can install custom software and configure your server exactly how you want it, and run things like Node.js, Python apps, or MongoDB – their setup just works without much effort.
The Good: Straightforward and affordable prices with a 99.9% uptime guarantee, and they include a free SSL certificate by Let’s Encrypt as well as free backups with all their VPS plans.
The downside: They offer the choice between cPanel and Webuzo as the control panel, however, both are add-ons and will cost you extra. They also don’t offer any Windows options, and their entry-level plans come with very little disk space, probably not suited for anything more than a basic website at most.
8. Verpex:
The Scalable Choice for European Businesses
![]()
Best for: Small to medium sized businesses and agencies looking for reliable VPS options.
European Data Centers: Germany, UK
Features: Linux & Windows VPS Options, Dedicated Intel XEON CPU’s, Blazing-fast NVMe Disk Drives, Optional cPanel or WHM control panel, managed and Unmanaged Options.
Verpex is one of the newer hosting providers on my list. They first opened their doors in 2018 and are made up of a team of 50+ very experienced hosting professionals. Their VPS plans are robust, scalable, comes with full root access and dedicated resources, and they offer a great balance of user-friendliness and power. This provider gives users the choice between managed or unmanaged servers in both Linux and Windows options and offer support that is second to none. They are truly one to consider if you are in the market for a new VPS provider.
The Good: They make it incredibly easy to scale your server’s resources up or down and have a strong focus on data privacy and compliance, which is crucial for a lot of EU businesses. Their prices are slightly higher than some other provider on this list though, but one should keep in mind that you are getting dedicated resources and excellent security in the form of network firewalls, free SSL certificates and automated malware scanning.
The Downside: On Linux based servers you only get to choose between AlmaLinux, Debian or Ubuntu – much fewer compared to some other providers, and they also only have two data center options for European clients.
9. Liquid Web:
The Simple, Rock-Solid VPS Provider
![]()
Best for: Developers, startups, and teams that is after simplicity. KVM VPS Servers, Gaming VPS Servers
European Data Centers: Netherlands, UK
Features: Acronis backups, DDoS protection (Cloudflare), integrated firewall, 10TB bandwidth, free migrations, 99.99% uptime
From one of the newest to one of the oldest providers on my list, Liquid Web was founded way back in 1997 by Matthew Hill, who started the company while he was still in high school. What started very small has since grown to be a major company in the hosting world and nowadays serve over 180000 clients, including big names like Red Bull & Audi, around the world. Their VPS plans are one of their biggest sellers and they offer them in self-managed or unmanaged options, as well as in Linux or Windows options. Liquid Web is known for delivering super-fast Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) stack performance, and comes with a 99.99% uptime guarantee and unmetered inbound traffic. Their support is great, they are affordable and, in my opinion, a great hosting provider – not just for VPS but for any type of hosting!
The Good: Besides their prices being reasonable and highly competitive, they offer a big selection of VPS options – managed and unmanaged, Linux and Windows, as well as cloud VPS. All very reliable and backed by excellent support, which is some of the best in the industry.
The Downside: They might be a bit of an overkill for users looking for basic VPS solutions, and as they are very well structured with excellent components, they might be a bit pricey for users that just need a basic, budget friendly VPS option.
10. eUKhost:
The Ever-Reliable UK Workhorse
![]()
Best for: Growing websites, eCommerce stores, developers and applications that require dedicated resources, great stability or custom software installation capabilities.
European Data Centers: UK
Features: Daily Snapshots, Blazing-fast NVMe Storage, Linux & Windows Options, Enterprise-grade HPE hardware, 30-day money back guarantee
eUKhost is a UK-based hosting provider with a solid customer base of over 35 000 seemingly happy clients. They are known for their rock-solid, very reliability and straightforward hosting plans, and while they might not have all the flashy features of some other cloud providers, they are a reliable, no-nonsense VPS option in Europe. If you are thinking about giving them a try, go ahead, they are a great choice.
The Good: Their network and infrastructure are very stable and uptime excellent, and their plans are also not over complicated and suited for beginners. It comes with decent security and is backed by top-notch technical support.
The Downside: They are not the cheapest and the configuration options are slightly limited compared to other providers, and you have to choose from their predefined plans – there is no create your own server option here.
My Final Thoughts: How to Make Your Pick
At the end of the day, the best VPS in Europe really depends on your specific project and needs.
For raw value and performance: My top pick is Hostinger. They are simply unbeatable for price-conscious power users and overall, just a great provider. I have never had a bad experience with them.
For a business needing rock-solid network and compliance: Kamatera as well as ScalaHosting are the established, reliable options.
For developers who want simplicity and a great ecosystem: Liquid Web or Namecheap are the clear winners.
Just a word of advice - Before you buy, always double check the exact location of the data center to make sure you get low latency for your users and understand the renewal terms of your chosen plan. Whether you need a cheap development sandbox or a powerful VPS server, one of these providers will have the perfect fit for you.
