Pawan SinghI've been using namecheap.com for 10 years. According to their name they offered cheap domains. If you are a student then you can get a free domain via https://nc.me/ from namecheap. I have purchased many domains & shared hosting from namecheap. They provide 100% uptime.I have used their support for moving my websites from the old server to namecheap and they did it. Now it becomes a little bit expensive but their services are more reliable then other hosting providers.I will give 9 out of 10 to namecheap.comGurpal SinghPerhaps the most efficient and user friendly interface along with unbeatable pricing. Although Its the traffic on the server that makes the speed considerably low at times. My overall experience with namecheap is very good, would highly reccomened it.Muhammad Suhail AjmalI started using Namecheap in 2016 as a cheap alternative to my hosting needs. Yes, it was perhaps the most inexpensive hosting for the first year, but for the time ahead, it is not that cheap. What really impressed me about Namecheap is their support. I was moving my site from Bluehost, and the support team did that for me. I didn’t have to do anything. However, recently, the support has been a little slow to respond to queries, but they are still very efficient compared to Bluehost. The loading speed is impressive, and the tools they offer are user-friendly. Overall, I have no complaints about Namecheap.Naeem SaiyedWe are using namecheap for quite a few clients. We like their services and you get issues rarely. We do not need to contact the support from beginning is the best part of their services. Overall good experience and reasonable pricing.Scott RigbyNamecheap does what it says in the URL - I find them really cheap in comparison to other larger hosts, their price is reflected though with slower support response times. In terms of reliability I have never known a website to be down and the overall speed of servers is good scoring high on gtmetrix and pingdom. A very usable host - I think if they offered a quicker support system they could easily charge more, but for people with some tech knowledge the offering is solid at a very low pricepoint.Ivan BolfekI discovered namecheap.com few years ago, and I have just positive experiences with them. These guys are really affordable, and provide good services. Very nice prices on domains, good promotions, very fast email and web hosting. Only their VPN service is not so good. But, in general they rock. Nice user dashboard and they accept bitcoin. I would recommend them.Foivos OikonomouI've been using Namecheap services for 3+ years now. I have a lot of shared hostings services both in US and UK and I'm also using it for my clients domains and SSLs.First thing I'll have to mention is their unbeatable prices. They have great pricing plans on their hosting services and on their domains / SSLs. For their hosting services they have CPanel, they also include Softaculous and daily backups as well. Moreover, they have a great antivirus with email notifications so you'll know if your (or your client's) website has issues before the website goes down.On the negative side, their claim "100% uptime" is an exaggeration. Not that you will have serious issues, most of the times they are very quick to resolve issues and get their servers back online, but it's not 100% for sure. Moreover, you'll need to optimize a lot your website to get decent loading speeds. Their servers have a lot of clients making it a bit slow (not a lot though). Finally, my major complaint is their very slow support. If you ever need something fixed ASAP then let's say you'll wait... a lot! Their live chat is very (!) slow to respond and if you submit a ticket you'll wait at least a day. They will eventually resolve the issue though.I would recommend Namecheap, mainly for new web developing companies, due to their VFM hosting services.Sean ClaytonTargeted at the lower end of the hosting market (the name gives you a hint), I have found it does nothing great, but also nothing terrible. The price is obviously the key selling point for most users, and you can't complain there. But I have found that it's speeds are slightly slower than other low priced options.I haven't experienced any down time whilst using their hosting (they promise 100% uptime). In my opinion though not having outages shouldn't really be a selling point as I have this expectation with any hosting provider I use. There Customer Support was the low point for me, I always want quick and knowledgeable advice, and I find the waits tiresome and the lack of knowledge from some of their support frustrating. That said, for the price, would I recommend, sure.Hasan MahmudExperience : My experience with Namecheap is not good, not bad type . I ave used their shared hosting , SSL certificates and domain . I have also used their domain transfer support .Based on that , i can say that their shared hosting service is average . They have low security settings on control panels . No server malware cleaning service. Support : When I look for their live support , it takes long to respond which is understandable since there are high number of traffic looking for that . But sometimes , i don't get to reach them at all via anything .If we leave a ticket for support, it takes forever to solve this.Their domain transfer and SSL certificate products are good. At the end i will recommend namecheap for the people who are tight in budget and don't care for security and support . A little bit technical knowledge of DNS will be required and a technical person like a developer might be needed if you are not technical to understand these things.I won't recommend to any professional though. It will take a whole lot of time and money with namecheap servers.Jordan JI've used Namecheap various times when helping with customers websites, the first thing that surprises me about them is that bold '100% uptime claim' but honestly? I've never actually experienced downtime with them before so it does hold up. The platform is decent in terms of speed, performance, and reliability, and the support team at Namecheap has always been helpful. One area I do feel they could improve on is backups, most providers these days provide daily backups as a standard. Something Namecheap could do with catching up with!Raja Sajid Manzoor. PMP®NameCheap is most affordable and reliable hosting provider, i have ever used so far. I like NameCheap because it's pricing structure is very fair and affordable and it offers best hosting for startups and medium scale businesses. Namecheap has very easy to use clientarea which allows me to manage all my services, domains and SSLs quickly and all at one place. A part from this, Namecheap uses CPanel for most of its plans, which is also very easy to use. I have been using Namecheap since 2013 and so far i have never faced any issues or downtime problems with them. Their support is also very quick. Their Live Chart Support is available 24/7 days with a very minimal wait time, as compared to others. I highly recommend NameCheap to others.Ayesha L.Do not use this company. It is cheap but so as their services and servers. The speed is slow; the bandwidth is limited although they say it's unlimited. SSL is not automatic at all you have to do it manually and when you connect to their support staff they are operating it from India and highly non-technical as they will waste your time. Better find some other company than wasting time here. Not recommended.

FAQ

  • ?

Is Namecheap Shared Server Hosting cloud-based?

No, although all Namecheap Shared Hosting plans are hosted on a Solid-State Drive (SSD), which helps to enhance performance over traditional hard disk drives (HDD). SSDs also contain no moving mechanical parts, offering faster access time and low latency. Namecheap Stellar Business plans with a US datacenter and all plans with an EU datacenter are, however, based on Cloud Storage. Here, traditional physical machines are converted to virtual machines (VM), running on a readily-available VM infrastructure.

  • ?

    How is hosting location-specific?

It is ideal for your hosting server location to be as close to your audience as possible. If you need affordable hosting for Europe and/or Africa audiences then it’s a good idea to find Shared Hosting in Europe. This means your website and web pages will load faster, you’ll have higher search engine rankings, and you’ll boost your SEO. So for the best Shared Hosting EU, look no further than Namecheap’s EU datacenter, which is also 100% renewable energy-powered.

  • ?

Should I choose VPS Hosting instead of Shared Web Hosting?

A VPS gives you access to your own personal server, one that’s split up into several virtual servers with allocated resources (disk space and bandwidth) as well as a pre-installed operating system (OS) of your choice. For website owners looking to grow and scale up, a VPS is highly recommended. If your website is too big for Shared Web Hosting but too small to benefit from Dedicated Server Hosting, a VPS is the right choice for you.
