We highly recommend to check the CHMOD settings. CHMOD (change mode) is a Linux command used to set read, write and execute permissions for different users. It can be set up on both files and directories. Nowadays, most hosting providers have these permissions pre-configured. But still, we recommend to double-check the settings and edit them, if needed. Note that the correct values of the file permissions depend on the website structure requirements (script, modules etc). If the CHMOD configuration is incorrect, hackers can easily gain access to the database password.
Another weak spot are SSH and FTP login credentials. It is pretty much obvious what a hacker can do with these kind of credentials. To prevent them from being stolen, make sure that all of your passwords are stored in a secure place. Also, create different passwords for your email, FTP, SSH, hosting and other accounts.
