They offer scalable, flexible, and affordable hosting plans that include Shared Hosting, VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server), VPS (Virtual Private Server), Mail Solutions, Domain Registrations, SSL certificates, and more. Their services are backed by daily backups and support for various scripting languages like Perl, Python, and Ruby.

Trial Period

SpaceWeb offers new Shared Hosting customers a free 14-day trial to check out their services and determine if they are what they need. They also offer a 30-day trial for their website builder and a short, 3-day trial for VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) and VPS (Virtual Private Server) plans.

Furthermore, if you signed up for an annual subscription and need to cancel before the end of the term, SpaceWeb will refund the balance of the subscription.

Billing Cycle

Clients seeking Shared Hosting, VPS (Virtual Private Server), or VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) plans can pay either monthly or yearly, but on their dedicated servers only monthly billing is accepted.

Now they also accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, and Russian issuing institutions' MIR bank cards as means of payment.

Control Panel

They include their very own, custom developed control panel in all their hosting plans. This control panel is both extremely user-friendly and fully responsive on all devices and features a single-page application architecture interface from where users can manage all aspects of their websites, including their databases, domains, SSL certificates, and more. With this type of architecture, the panel sections instantly open without reloading and are updated in real-time.

Limits

They offer six different Shared Hosting plans that you can scale up as needed. The smallest plan, "Take Off," gives you 5GB of blazing-fast NVMe SSD disk space and includes a free domain (the offer is limited to one of these extensions - .ru, .рф, .online, .shop, .spb.ru). At the other end of the spectrum, the "Jupiter" plan offers a whopping 90GB of NVMe space and comes with six free domain names. All their Shared Hosting plans come standard with Zend Guard Loader, Zend Optimize, daily backups, unlimited MySQL 8/5.7 or PostgreSQL 14.4 databases, FTP accounts, POP/IMAP email accounts, and support for Perl, Python, and Ruby.

Their VPS plans on the other hand are fully customizable, and although they do give a few base options to choose from, it is advised to create your own VPS according to your needs. All VPS plans include VNC Console and 2x IP addresses (IPv4 + IPv6).

Website Builder

They offer their clients 3 distinct website builder options to choose from that all make use of the Site Pro builder, with the only difference being the amount of disc space allocated and the number of templates available. The Site Pro builder is widely used and comes with over 200, fully responsive, editable templates. It has all the tools you need to create a professional-looking website effortlessly and without any coding knowledge.

Security

Security is offered in the form of full DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) protection that safeguards their servers from all types of attack vectors like protocol exploits, volumetric floods, reflection and amplification attacks, malicious inputs, resource exhaustion & depletions, application-level vulnerabilities, etc.

On top of that, all plans come with free website virus protection that auto-scans for malicious code and malware. Free Global Sign 256-bit SSL certificate for one year is also available on some of the hosting plans.

You can also purchase more robust SSLs, such as GlobalSign AlphaSSL and GlobalSign OrganizationSSL WildCard, at an additional fee.

OS

SpaceWeb Shared Hosting uses the Gentoo Linux Operating System (OS), which is highly regarded for its flexibility and performance optimization. The OS is a solid and reliable option. Gentoo provides a functionality that goes beyond what is offered in systems that are based on binaries due to the installation from source code.

Their VPS plans on the other hand offer users the option to choose between Ubuntu, Rocky Linux 9, Debian, Centos, and AlmaLinux.

Support

SpaceWeb provides expert support around the clock via Email, Phone, Live Chat, or VKontakte, a Russian online social media and social networking service. Their agents are friendly, competent, and quick to reply. Expect a response on Live Chat in mere seconds and on Email in less than an hour.

Conclusion

SpaceWeb is an affordable and well-rounded hosting provider that exceeded my expectations in every area. Their plans are well structured, support is excellent, and they only make use of super-fast NVMe drives on all their plans. If you are based within Russia you will have a hard time finding another provider better than them.
