Looking for OVH Cloud Alternatives?

Here Is our Top 3 Competitors to Consider in 2026

One thing is certain, OVH cloud is an absolute powerhouse in the hosting industry, especially appealing to more advanced users that’s after extreme computing power, VPS or dedicated servers, or any type of cloud infrastructure for that matter. But are they a “one size fits all” answer for everyone? I wouldn’t say so.

Maybe you are running a small business and are simply looking for a shared hosting plan that comes with a smooth website builder, so you can create an online presence without touching a single line of code. Or maybe you have had enough of OVH Cloud’s complex, and somewhat technical interface, and need something more suited for beginners. Or perhaps you run a growing agency and need free migrations, better support, or a domain registrar that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. Whatever your reason may be, there are very good OVH Cloud alternatives on the market right now.

Here are our top 3 alternatives and competitors to OVH worth considering in 2026

When I think about OVH Cloud alternatives there are 3 names that immediately comes to mind - Hostinger, Hosting.com, and Kamatera. Each one of these offers user-friendly features that some OVH Cloud users might find frustrating or offer better prices or value. Hostinger hands you a free domain, free email, and a drag‑and‑drop website builder without nickel‑and‑ dimming you. Hosting.com gives you managed Windows plans and phone support, and Kamatera delivers raw cloud computing power with hourly billing, so you only pay for what you use. Let’s take a look at each one on its own.

Key Features Hostinger Hosting.com Kamatera OVH Cloud
Cheapest Plan: From $2.99 per month (shared hosting) From $3.99 per month (shared hosting) From $4 per month / or

$0.005 per hour (cloud servers)

From $4.39 per month for the Standard plan.
Free Domain: Yes – for the 1st year Yes- on annual plans No Yes – for the first year
Support: 24/7 live chat, email, tickets (fast response) 24/7 via live chat, email, phone (US-based) 24/7 via support tickets & live chat (very quick to respond) 24/7 tickets & phone (slower to respond than the competitors)
Performance: LiteSpeed servers, NVMe SSD, built-in caching, 8 global data centers AMD EPYC CPUs, NVMe SSD, LiteSpeed, 4 data centers Intel Xeon, SSD storage, 17+ global data centers, 5-min provisioning Intel/AMD, NVMe options, mostly EU & Canada data centers
Website Builder: They include a free AI website builder No – but you can install your own No – they only offer infrastructure No
Free Email Accounts: 2 free mailboxes on the cheapest plan 10 free mailboxes on the cheapest plan Yes – you can host your own mail server with cloud servers No – this is an add-on that will cost extra
My Verdict: Best all-rounder in my opinion and great for beginners and small businesses – beats OVH on price, free domain, email, and website builder. Best for managed Windows hosting and enterprises – better support than OVH Cloud. Perfect for developers and any type of cloud computing – OVH’s true competitor with hourly billing and a much faster setup. Falls short in customer support, free extras, and ease of use compared to all three alternatives.

1. Hostinger

The Best All-Rounder for Speed & Value in Our Opinion

1-thumb.png

Anyone who is involved in the IT industry or hosting industry in any way, will be able to tell you that Hostinger is one of the best providers on the market today. They are trustworthy, easy on your pocket, and offer a huge array of services that’s backed by excellent support. While OVH Cloud comes across as if it was built only for seasoned IT professionals and system administrators, Hostinger feels like it was built for everyone, from newbies to experts alike, with services at a fraction of the cost, but that doesn’t lack on performance.

I’ve used both OVH Cloud and Hostinger on multiple occasions over the years, and the difference is night and day. Their custom hPanel is snappy, and their LiteSpeed servers with built-in caching make WordPress sites open in a flash. OVH does gives you a lot of power, but Hostinger gives you results without the steep learning curve that comes with it.

Why they make a better choice than OVH Cloud

Price & Value: To be bluntly honest - OVH Cloud's cheap plans look tempting until you realize that it doesn’t include much. Want a domain? Pay extra. Need email hosting? That's another line item to your monthly bill. SSL certificate? Some OVH plans don't even include a basic one. I can go on and on. Hostinger on the other hand includes a free domain for the first year, free email accounts, a free SSL certificate, and unlimited bandwidth. Plus, Hostinger's renewal rates aren’t ridiculous.

User Friendliness: As mentioned before, OVH Cloud’s interface might be a bit intimidating to new users, whereas Hostinger's hPanel is the opposite. It's clean, modern, and really easy to use. Managing your web hosting, domains, email, and databases is all right there without digging through confusing tabs.

Support: I wouldn’t go as far as saying OVH Cloud’s support is bad, it’s just that Hostinger’s support is so much better! Hostinger offers 24/7 live chat from knowledgeable agents who solve problems in minutes, and for beginners or busy business owners, that alone is worth switching for.

AI Website Builder: OVH doesn't offer any kind of website builder — it's raw hosting or nothing. Hostinger includes a great AI website builder in all their plans which lets you create a professional-looking website quickly and without any coding knowledge. Just answer a few questions about your business, and the AI handles the design, copy, and even images.

2-thumb.png

Pros:

  • Very affordable with good renewal fees.
  • Their AI website builder is great and easy to use
  • Free domain and free emails included in their plans
  • Excellent 24/7 support
  • 99.9% uptime guarantee

Cons:

  • No phone support (if that’s your thing).
  • They don't offer Windows-based hosting, only Linux.

2. Hosting.com

Enterprise Power Without the Technical Headaches

3-thumb.png

Hosting.com, which a lot of people will know as A2 Hosting (before they rebranded) is a well-liked name amongst thousands of users. They are a serious competitor in the managed hosting space, and while OVH Cloud gives you unmanaged dedicated servers and expects you to figure it out, Hosting.com focuses more on managed solutions, especially if you need Windows-based plans or complex VPS setups.

I have found them to be especially useful to run eCommerce stores on ASP.NET. They both offer it, so what’s the difference you might ask? OVH Cloud’s Windows offering feels like an afterthought, while Hosting.com lives and breathes it – That’s the impression I get.

Why they make a better choice than OVH Cloud

Excellent Managed Support: OVH Cloud caters more for professionals and not so much for absolute beginners. They provide unmanaged servers and you are responsible for the security patches, software updates, firewall configuration, and more. Hosting.com’s plans on the other hand are fully managed, meaning their team handles the behind-the-scenes technical work.

Free Migrations: If you need to migrate a website to Hosting.com, they will do it for free for you. Newbies often don’t know where to start with a migration and in the end stay with a provider they aren’t happy with just because they are scared they might break something. This offer is much more important than many of us realize.

4-thumb.png

Support: Their US-based support is quick to respond, friendly, and will sort out any issue in a blink of an eye.

Windows Hosting: Although OVH Cloud offers Windows servers, their setup feels clunky to me personally, and support for Windows-specific issues isn’t that great. Hosting.com specializes in Windows web hosting, including shared Windows plans, Windows VPS, and even Windows dedicated servers. So, if your business runs on ASP.NET, MSSQL, or any Microsoft stack, Hosting.com is definitely worth a second look.

Pros:

  • One of the few quality providers with solid Windows shared and VPS plans. OVH Cloud’s focus is more on Linux.
  • Free site migrations done by their team
  • Excellent uptime
  • Great support

Cons:

  • They are slightly more expensive than Hostinger, as well as OVH Cloud on some plans, but keep in mind you pay for the "managed" part.
  • Renewal prices jump considerably

3. Kamatera

The True Cloud Computing Powerhouse

5-thumb.png

Kamatera is probably the closest direct competitor to OVH Cloud. They both seem more suited for advanced users and offer VPS servers, dedicated servers, and cloud instances with full root access. But where OVH Cloud often locks you into specific data center regions or complex billing, Kamatera offers a very quick setup that usually takes less than 5-minutes, and a very attractive pay-as-you-go model that I find brilliant.

Why they make a better choice than OVH Cloud

Hourly Billing: This is by far the most important point for me. OVH Cloud locks you into monthly or annual contracts, and you will pay for the whole month no matter how much or little you use your server. Kamatera lets you pay by the hour, so you only pay for what you use.

Cost: At first glance it seems that OVH Cloud has a much better priced entry-level plan than Kamatera, but take a close look at what they include. That “Starter” plan of theirs - the one for $1.67 per month, only comes with 1GB of disk space and you are limited to one website, which makes it almost impossible to host a decent website on. Their “Standard” plan is the first meaningful one, and that comes in more expensive than Kamatera.

Data Centers: OVH Cloud has a strong presence in Europe and Canada, but not so much in other regions, while Kamatera has 17 data centers spread across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. That means you can host your application closer to your users anywhere in the world, reducing latency and improving experience.

Free Trial with Real Credits: OVH Cloud doesn’t offer potential customers any free trial to test the waters, but Kamatera gives you a 30-day free trial with $100 in credits — no credit card horror stories, no fine print. This allows for ample time to build, test, and break things before spending a dime.

6-thumb.png

Pros:

  • A full 30-day free trial with $100 in credits, allowing you to properly test them out before buying.
  • Hourly billing means you only pay for what you use, potentially saving you a lot.
  • Great for web developers who need to clone environments quickly.
  • Load balancers, firewalls, and private networking are super-easy to configure.
  • Excellent support

Cons:

  • They don’t offer any shared hosting or website builder, but OVH Cloud doesn’t either anyway.
  • The dashboard is powerful but has a slight learning curve if you’re used to cPanel.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Which OVH alternative out of these is the best for a free website builder?

Without a doubt, I would go with Hostinger. Their AI website builder is included in all their hosting plans. It is super-easy to use and perfect for both novices and pros alike.

2. Can I migrate my OVH Cloud WordPress site to these competitors for free?

Absolutely! Hosting.com offers free migrations handled by their technical gurus, while Hostinger also provides free automated migration via plugins. Kamatera on the other hand, expects you to handle it yourself. So if you’re not technical or not confident in what you are doing, rather avoid Kamatera for migrations.

3. If I run a computing-heavy application such as Node.js or Python, which provider do I go for?

Kamatera comes out on top in this department. Their cloud VPS instances are built for computing workloads, and you can easily scale RAM, disk space, and CPUs. OVH is also good, but Kamatera’s hourly billing and faster provisioning make them a better option if you ask me.

4. Which OVH alternative on this list is best for someone who has no server management experience?

That entirely depends on how “involved” you want to be. I would say Hostinger is the most newbie-friendly overall because of their well-designed hPanel dashboard, and excellent support. Hosting.com is also a great option if you want everything managed for you as their team handles everything from migrations, security patches, as well as server maintenance. Kamatera is the opposite, and more suited for seasoned IT professionals.

5. Do any of these offer a free domain or a free trial period?

Yes, but it varies by provider, so pay close attention here. Hostinger gives you a free domain for the first year on most annual plans, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee (not a free trial, but close enough, as you can test risk-free and get a full refund if you cancel within the first month). Hosting.com also includes a free domain on some of their annual plans. Kamatera is the only one that offers a true free trial of 30 days , as well as $100 in credits, with no upfront payment required. However, Kamatera does not include a free domain at all.
