Ivan BolfekI would say that Weebly is a good option for small personal or e-commerce sites. Mostly for people that want easy instant builder and connect their domain to it. For people that do not want get involved in traditional web hosting, as this platform is much simpler than installing something through Cpanel. They have good e-commerce options and integrations. A bit confusing and maybe misleading user dashboard if you want to create just free website. But it is good simple web site builder with good e-commerce integrations.Eliza MunteanuWeebly is one of the main web hostings out there and is highly appreciated for the flexible plans for small businesses and the large extension of their features. You can get your business up digitally in no time with the help of their excellent web builder with simple drag-and-drop blocks and you can have the fastest load speed out there. As their websites are optimized for their own hosting, Weebly takes security seriously and provides high protection against hackers and spam. My take on them is excellent for it's provided value and I can confirm their support team has always been able to fix our issues. Fully recommended.Dan BechtoldWeebly is simply good for beginners or a basic personal website - I could not recommend this for a business. Their sites load slowly, possibly do to server load just to load one of these sites, but never experienced any downtime. It is a drag and drop build your own site type of hosting with lots of limitations to expand into anything beyond just a few pages. There are better options out there but if you like the drag drop build a site this is one of a handful to try out.Brian TitusFor 12 years I worked with and provided support and troubleshooting for over a dozen website builders. Of all these builders I can say that Weebly has been my favorite to work with once I discovered it. While I will admit there is a bit of a learning curve at the start to get used to how the editor works, once you get the hang of it you can really start banging out really nice websites, easily, in no time at all.One of the nice things I liked about Weebly wasn't just that you could customize the code of the theme itself, but that you could actually go online and buy (or find free) custom Weebly themes and upload them into the editor (your support for those themes was essentially zero though). Some of the lesser known options that set Weebly apart is there Education platform, and their Developer platform. The Education platform is designed for teachers to create, and manage, limited student accounts in order to help teach them web design and services. This service was free, with some extra features you could unlock by purchasing, but no purchases were needed for a very functional teaching aid.The other neat option they offer is called the Developer platform. This allowed website designers to create a white-labelled account of their own under which they would create and manage client accounts. There were costs associated with how many client sites you had published, but obviously those costs would have been passed on to the clients themselves presumable. If you are a Developer who needs a white-labelled website builder and customer management system, or if you are a teacher that could use an online website design teaching aid, I highly recommend Weebly.com for these services.Tom SmithWeebly is a hosting provider for beginners, it is very easy to use but I would not recommend them for anyone that is serious about their website. What you can do with them is very limited, especially when it comes to adding additional features and really optimizing for SEO. As a drag-and-drop builder they are great but as a professional I wouldn't recommend them.Soubhik ChakrabartiI wouldn't say Weebly is bad. It's juhttps://hostings.info/weebly-com.html#st that given how Wordpress has got hold of things today, I can't tell it's my first choice. Weebly for one, just doesn't have that flexibility. Given the limitations, it cannot be my choice for my business site, but if you are looking for a hobby website, this one does have that feel to it. For beginners, I will be recommending it.Aaron FernandesWeebly is a popular platform that is similar in functionality to site builders like Wix or Shopify, or Squarespace. Weebly is very easy to navigate and for even the most layperson without much technical knowledge to build and setup their online project. They are also owned by Square and if you do setup a webshop using their service it can come with an automatic integration and a free SSL certificate too. However what's kind of alarming about their service is that they display advertisements from their parent company Square on your site even if you pay $7 per month - Billed by the Year. The only plan where you are able to setup your own online project without advertising costs $15/month and higher - billed annually. I think this is a definite drawback as many hosts today offer similar priced monthly plans and cPanel so I think it is much more budget efficeint to setup hosting elsewhere rather than spend both your time and effort setting up a shop in Weebly and losing credibility because of Square ads not aligned with your brand. I have never contacted their support however I will say the platform is quite easy to navigate and use if you are a newbie. Overall I would say you should go with Weebly if you are a complete newbie and want to setup a webshop or project quickly and without much hassle; but if you are looking for something with better site speed, more customized, more aligned with your brand and overall more sophisticated- I would highly recommend going with Shopify instead or possibly Squarespace if you really want to use a "website builder" service. Sites created with Weebly are also very very slow in my experience and this is a serious drawback as site speed is one of the most important factors related to success on the Internet. The code generated by Weebly is very bulky and for sure makes websites very bulky and slow, and they take an astronomically long time to load. In general, I would not recommend Weebly and you should go with Squarespace or Shopify if you really need a "hosted web builder."Marin KatićAs a direct competitor to Wix, Weebly offers a lot more apps and better social media integration. However it has a much smaller number of features. Somehow, it can be more difficult to master than Wix, even though it does not offer as much modules and templates. Speed and reliability are not an issue. A god feature of both Wix and Weebly is a simplified SEO know how implemented into the product.Mizanur RhamanI hosted 15 domains overall in Weebly. First of all, Weebly builder is really slow and they just allow limited numbers of features, poor content management systems, and difficult SEO tools. The sites hosted in Weebly also got down some times. I was unable to add better plugins there. My built sites were also slow and there were no specific ways to speed up. So I had to move all of the sites in Wordpress.Only good things came with Weebly -I was able to set up SSL easily, got better security, low-cost pricing, free site builder, and default features and extensions.Anyway, I don't recommend Weebly as there are more cons than pros. The main problem is we are not able to speed up our site there.Hans WeberWeebly was one of the first site builders I ever got to work with. I've always had a love/hate relationship with them. While their user interface is so simple that even a child could create a beautiful website, they have some of the worst load times I've ever seen. Any site I've ever seen made with Weebly has taken well over 5 seconds to show anything, and it's even worse on mobile. Their prices aren't all that bad considering you're paying monthly and not yearly. This would still be my go-to if I didn't know how to navigate and build within Wordpress.Ronnie MoultonWeebly was my first go at using a drag and drop web building app! It was a foundation for future learning about web development and design for me. The UI is clean with easy blocks to use for drag and drop page building. The free version does have the Weebly banner at the bottom of the page and that can be removed when updating to Premium. Weebly is great for free if you are just starting out with web design and want to get a clean and easy site up and running quickly. The speed on the free service is acceptable I would definitely use Weebly again - going Premium to a Personal account is only $6 a month and is worth every penny if you are looking for a simple drag and drop interface for a simple project and potentially basic e-commerce.Wolf BishopI will be honest, I do not typically use the "Cookie Cutter Site Builder" type of hosts like Weebly, but I was asked to test the service for a client not to long ago, so I set up a small shop that I ran for 60 days. In order to make sure my review was fair, I selected the Performance plan at $29/month.First, the pros:Weebly allows you to set up an ecommerce website quickly and easily. The entire platform is built to make it easy for even the least technically inclined folks. And it certainly accomplishes that. They provide all the basic essentials like automatic integration with Square (who owns Weebly), ample storage, a free SSL, and some pretty decent analytics for your site. Now the cons:What good is a website, no matter how easy to setup, if it is slow? A slow website is one of the primary causes of cart abandonment or people simply never making it to the cart. Weebly is one of the slowest platforms I have ever tested. THe site I set up had just 25 products. A load test with just 25 simulataneous visits slowed my page load to 4.8 seconds. No matter what I did, I never could get my Google Page Speed score above 85%.The 2 lowest tier plans include ads on your site. I can definetely understand this and am fine with this on the free plan. They gotta make money somehow. But the Personal plan which is a paid plan also has ads. I personally feel that once you start to pay for hosting, you should not be forced to display ads. Period.Support. Support is laughable and I am convinced 100% scripted. Shortly after signing up, I contact support via live chat. I asked about how to configure the shipping labels feature. The agent responded with "What shipping label feature are you referring too?" Seriously??? Do you not know the platform you are supporting????Even if you are ok with a cookie-cutter ecommerce site, Weebly is not the route you want to go.
