They also have scripts in marketplace ready for deployment. Also you get 2 months trial for their products which is a plus.Dadson TI’m a sucker for underdog players in any space. That’s what drove me to try Linode and so far, it has been a good journey. It has multiple data centers and its plans have fair prices. The company has great uptime and reliable customer support. You can hardly find a fault in their plans except that its plan run on Linux-only servers.Tom SmithLinode are awesome! Great support, speeds and reliability.I also really like their DNS manager. I would say that Linode is more for businesses than hobbyists because if you really want to make the most of what they offer, you do need some technical knowledge.Scott BlaydesHave used Linode for years and for multiple projects. Still is my goto VPS provider. Pricing is good. Speed has been good for me, but I normally use the Dallas location due to closest proximity to me. Have used support when needed and they are always useful when it is something under their control. Many times I get help even on things not directly controlled by Linode. The IRC channel on OFTC is useful for support also, though not official support. Linode has had some problems in the past, like the DDoS attacks around Xmas of 2015. Those attacks caused problems for myself and a few of my clients, but Linode was communicating with its clients well. I have not been affected by any large problems like that since. So far, Linode has been quick to move my VPS to a new host if any problems are found on my VPS. In most cases I don't even noticed other than the email Linode sends me.Aaron FernandesI have and currently use Linode for my web hosting needs. They provide servers "as is" on which you can deploy your applications and scripts, therefore it is a service more suited for developers as you will require SSH knowkeldge. Their pricing structure is quite reasonable and I think they were one of the first companies to offer servers as is to orindary users. Their support deserves a A+ rating as they are very efficient when answering requests, and at the same time are very courteous when it comes to providing payment extensions - all you have to do is communicate with them and they will more than not honor your request to pay later. They are very reliable and in my opinion one of the best services available; especially if you are a dev.Francisco Panis KasekerLinode is one of most friendly VPSs with great API to create, upgrade, downgrade and destroy virtual servers (linodes) and volumes. They have same prices as Digital Ocean, but offer more performance in storage (SSD based) and CPUs (and when you get a stressed host, you can ask to transfer to other location for free). They have excellent network latency with South America (mainly with Brazil) and Europe East(Portugal, Spain, France, Germany etc) with US linodes servers. The support is best than digital ocean and other similar companies, usually they answer is less than 30 minutes. They do not try to avoid give support even when you have some sysadmin problem, like other overselling vps companies. They offer s3 block storage that is compatible with amazon s3, which help reduce the object storage. They offer two terminals to access the virtual server through browser. The allow e-mail traffic if you ask and they are very strict about marketing and spam traffic. Their API work really well and it is excellent to scale resources when you need (you can upgrade or add more instances). Also you can run pre setup scripts in your instances ait it work really well. They allow you configure thresholds of resource usage if you do not monitoring system, which help you identify some resources problems. The anti DDoS is pretty basic and will null route you with big bandwidth attacks. All servers come with 40TB of output usage, which is good for most purposes. I always recommend Linode when customer need something like Amazon and Google Cloud without pay a lot. They are very transparent when they have infrastructure problems and they provide realistic ETA. Is not common network and hardware failures from my experience. The cost vs benefits (performance and support) for the virtual servers are one of the best of market. Surprisily (due the prices) always the support offered a solution to the host stability problems. I use their services for more than 3 years.Juarez WeissOne of the best companies for reliable service. The dashboard is super complete and everything is available and easy to reach. Prices are ok and the support team is experiences and quick to reply.Roman LitvinWhen I moved from shared hosting to Digital Ocean, I discovered that I didn't have mail services, so I mounted one on my own, I found out that Linode is a very nice option because it has port 25 open by default, you don't find this on lots of hosting services. It has good walkthorughs in documentation, and performance is outstanding. On the cons I'd say that the price is twice as Digital Ocean, it doesn't provide Windows hosting.Marin KatićLinode is an established name in the hosting market. Sometimes it has small issues, but overall it is stable and reliable. Unlike some other hosting companies, Linode is oriented towards IT professionals and often referred as more geeky (in a very positive way). Support and knowledge are the main pillars here and they offer professional services (decent ones). The pricing is not cheap, but it is very transparent about what you get in terms of CPU, storage, network performance, which is a rarity. The additional modules they offer are actually useful and it really shows they made this infrastructure for people that can appreciate the real value of their offering.Branimir GrbešićLinode has been around for almost two decades. Recently they have overhauled their Cloud Manager which is much better and easier for managing servers now. The speed and reliability of their servers and network is just amazing. Their support is fast and helpful with response times in under an hour.Ronnie MoultonI really enjoyed using Linode. It is not the cheapest, but if you are a Linux box kinda guy, it is fast and furious. The server response times were better than other providers and I never experienced any outages (maybe 1). When they update your node, you receive an email regarding planned downtime. Good user and billing interface. Simple Billing Options and many different hosting plans to scale up with when working on one project or multiple projects. I would highly recommend Linode to anyone that enjoys using Linux and wants to get busy on the command line.
