First impression
uPress is a web hosting services company based in Holon, Israel. They have a strong focus on WordPress and offer services such as shared hosting, VPS cloud hosting, web application firewalls (WAF), and enterprise-grade caching solutions. They are made up of a small but highly capable team of hosting professionals and currently host in excess of 50,000 websites on their servers.

Trial Period
This provider will let you test-drive their shared hosting for a full 30 days without needing to provide any credit card, or payment details upfront—which is rare and refreshing. You get full access to features like SSD storage and their custom control panel during this period. But once signed up and paid, there’s no money-back policy safety net and they don’t offer refunds if you change your mind later. This trial also only applies to shared hosting plans, their VPS plans are commitment-only from day one.
Billing Cycle
The billing cycles they offer are as straightforward as they come. Either pay month-to-month for maximum flexibility or commit annually to shave about 10-15% off the total cost. Just know: whichever cycle you pick auto-renews, so mark your calendar if you’re not planning on renewing.
They currently accept all major credit cards, as well as PayPal for payments.
Control Panel
They don't offer any well-known control panels as part of their plans, but rather their very own, custom-created control panel that they have created from scratch, and honestly? It’s refreshing. They’ve stripped out the bloat of mainstream options while keeping all the essentials: one-click WordPress installs, SSL management, and backup controls are all there, just organized more intuitively. It also has all the features popular panels such as cPanel have. Very easy to use and will get the job done!
Limits
Their shared hosting plans are available in three options, namely the Personal, Professional, and Business. The Personal, their entry-level shared hosting plan, comes with 1GB SSD disc space, 50GB monthly traffic, and is limited to 1 website. Next up is the Professional plan which features 3GB SSD storage, 100GB traffic, a CDN (content delivery network), and a development environment, and on this plan, you are allowed to host 3 websites. Lastly, they offer the Business plan which comes with 10GB SSD disc space, 250GB bandwidth, and you are allowed up to 10 websites. As with the previous plan, this one also includes a CDN and development environments. All shared hosting plans come standard with a free SSL by Let's Encrypt, as well as an IPv6 address.

For VPS servers, they offer five plans to choose from. These range from 40GB SSD storage space, 3TB monthly bandwidth, 2 Core CPUs, and 2GB RAM, on the Standard plan, up to 160GB SSD disc space, 6TB monthly traffic, 8 Core CPUs, and 16GB RAM, on the Discovery, their top-tier VPS plan. All VPS plans come with CloudFlare CDN, uPress Super Cache, and daily backups.

Website Builder
uPress doesn’t bother with proprietary website builders—instead, they’ve gone all-in on WordPress, which is arguably better (in my personal opinion at least). Every hosting plan includes one-click WordPress installs, and here’s why that matters: modern WordPress with its block editor (Gutenberg) works almost exactly like a drag-and-drop builder. You pick pre-designed sections, tweak them visually, and publish—no coding needed. The difference? You’re not locked into some flimsy in-house tool. Want a store? Plug in WooCommerce. Need forms? Add Gravity Forms. uPress’s approach gives you builder-like simplicity but with infinitely more power... assuming you’re okay with spending 20 minutes learning WordPress basics.
Security
When it comes to security, uPress doesn’t mess around—they’ve wrapped every site in enterprise-grade DDoS protection, to shrug off any brute-force attacks, while free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates encrypt all data. Their servers run nightly malware scans, auto-patch WordPress vulnerabilities before hackers can exploit them, and cage each shared hosting account in isolated containers. A web firewall filters sketchy traffic in real time, and 30-day automated backups mean you can rewind disasters with a click. The only thing missing? Two-factor authentication, which you’ll need to add via a plugin yourself.

OS
They use RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) on all their servers, the same OS a lot of banks and governments trust for mission-critical workloads. For the uninitiated, RHEL is like the armored truck of operating systems: ultra-stable, packed with security certifications and backed by a team of engineers who patch vulnerabilities as soon as they are discovered. It’s not the flashiest choice (you won’t find bleeding-edge features here), but when your WordPress site needs to stay online during a traffic surge or a hacker’s probing, that rock-solid reliability pays off. uPress’s choice tells you everything—they prioritize uptime over gimmicks.
Support
Their support is a bit like the British weather - you can never be too sure what you are going to get. I have tested them out over multiple days, and some days replies were instant every time, other days I waited for more than a day and a half before anyone replied. One thing I can say though is that when they actually reply, their agents are very helpful and eager to assist. Users can reach them via email or phone.

uPress is a good option if you're all-in on WordPress and want enterprise-grade security without the enterprise price tag. Their RedHat servers and custom control panel are brilliant for developers who appreciate stability over flashy features, and the free SSL and DDoS protection means you can sleep easily. But, their support is erratic and there's no option to choose another OS, not even for VPS plans. If you are looking for a new provider in Israel, maybe shop around a bit first.
