Their "no BS" approach includes free site migrations done by actual humans and SSD storage standards on all plans (even the cheap ones). While they might not have the flashiest website, their uptime stats (99.98% for 2024) speak louder than any marketing jargon.

Trial Period

Here’s something refreshing – Vangus actually lets you test-drive their shared hosting for a full 7 days without demanding your credit card upfront. Unlike most hosts that make you jump through hoops, their trial requires zero billing details, just an email to get started. The catch? You’ll need to manually cancel, or activate your subscription before day 7 or the system will disable your test site. For skeptics like me who’ve been burned by “free trials” that secretly pre-authorize payments, Vangus’ transparent approach is a rare find in the hosting world.

Billing Cycle

They keep their billing simple with either monthly or annual commitments for their hosting plans and currently accept all major credit cards as valid payment methods, however, one needs to note that they do not accept Diners Cards, prepaid cards, or instant debit cards.

Limits

Their managed hosting, designed exclusively for WordPress websites, and hosted stored on Google's premium cloud infrastructure, is available in 8 options that range from 2GB disc space, 20GB monthly traffic, 2 development environments, and a limit of 1 website on the WordPress Junior plan, up to 16GB storage space, 160GB traffic, 16 development environments, and a limit of 8 websites on the WordPress Analyst plan, their top-tier option. All plans come standard with unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts (the space is shared with the space allocated for the specific plan), daily backups, and a complimentary SSL certificate by Let's Encrypt. CPU and RAM are allocated to each plan, independent of other sites on the same server.

For their VPS plans, user can either choose between three options, the NIS 360, NIS 488, and NIS 755, or create their own by choosing the amount of disc space, processing power, and RAM. The NIS 360 plan comes with 4 CPUs, 8GB RAM, and 160GB disc space. Next up is the NIS 488 which comes with 8 CPUs, 16GB RAM, and 240GB storage space, and lastly they have the NIS 755 plan which boasts 16 CPUs, 32GB RAM, and 360GB disc space. Users opting to create their own servers can go to a maximum of 48 CPUs and 192GB RAM.

Website Builder

They don't include any generic website builders in their plans. Their hosting is custom-built for WordPress, the powerhouse CMS (Content Management System) that runs over 40% of all websites. They offer support via Email, Live Chat, or a Ticketing System, however, my experience with Vangus support wasn’t the lightning-fast miracle they advertise. While they do offer 24/7 assistance across all plans (no extra fees, I’ll give them that), don’t expect those "under a minute" responses unless you’re incredibly lucky.

Conclusion

Vangus is a good fit if you’re a WordPress user (but only if you are based in Israel) who values speed and security over flashy extras. Their Google Cloud infrastructure and Linux-optimized stacks deliver excellent performance. They’re perfect for agencies, bloggers, or small businesses that need rock-solid uptime and don’t mind getting their hands dirty with WordPress (no coddling beginners with drag-and-drop builders here). But, that being said, if you don't speak Hebrew, or need fast support, they are probably not going to be a good choice.
