First impression

Mirohost was established in 2001 by the Internet Invest Group and is currently one of Ukraine's most renowned and reliable web hosts. It offers an array of services such as Shared Hosting, VPS Hosting, Cloud Hosting Solutions, Dedicated Servers, and Domain Registrations. The architecture is designed to allow for fast, stable, and scalable hosting and is thus adaptable to projects of any size from small blogs to complex business apps.

Mirohost is popular among Ukrainians who need web hosting services. They operate from Kyiv and have been creating an unblemished record for years.

Trial Period

They have an eVPS (Elastic Virtual Private Server) Hosting trial for thirty days in order to allow potential clients to test out their virtual server hosting service. Micohost does not have an apparent refund policy for their standard hosting packages, although their support told me that refunding is done from time to time, but situationally.

Billing Cycle

Mirohost billing for their hosting plans is available with some flexibility to allow you to select what suits you. In Shared Hosting, Mirohost keeps it straightforward with quarterly, semi-annual, and annual billing. In case you're going for their VPS or Dedicated Server hosting plans, Mirohost goes all-out by adding an additional monthly billing option in addition to their quarterly, semi-annual, and annual billing.

They now accept Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal payments.

Control Panel

I was pleasantly surprised to find that all hosting plans come equipped with Mirohost's own, custom-built control Panel, simply named the Mirohost Panel. This control panel feels incredibly intuitive and is loaded with features you'd expect from something like cPanel. One can easily manage website files, set up databases, and handle email accounts all from one place. It even has straightforward tools for one-click installs and backup management, which is a huge timesaver. If you’ve used cPanel before, you’ll feel right at home with this Panel.

Limits

Mirohost offers three options for their Shared Hosting plans. The entry-level plan, "Mini," includes 3GB of SSD storage, 100 POP/IMAP email accounts, and 1 MySQL database, which is suitable for personal or small business websites. Next is the "Site" plan, which provides 6GB of SSD storage, unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts, and 5 MySQL databases, making it a solid choice for entry-level sites. Their top-tier plan, "Portal," offers 9GB of SSD storage, unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts, and 10 MySQL databases, though it still may not be ideal for eCommerce needs.

For VPS hosting, Mirohost provides scalable options, starting from the eVPS-1 plan with 1x 1.0 GHz CPU, 0.5GB RAM, and 8GB SSD storage, up to an advanced plan with 8x 2.5 GHz CPUs, 32GB RAM, and a modest 512GB of SSD storage.

All plans (Shared & VPS) come standard with a complimentary SSL certificate by Let's Encrypt.

Website Builder

Regrettably, they don’t don't include a dedicated website builder in any of their plans, however, through their Mirohost control panel, you can install popular content management systems like WordPress or Joomla with just one click. These CMS options are essentially the building blocks of your site and give you all the tools you need to create a professional website without knowing a single line of code. Personally, I find creating websites with CMS systems much easier than using the dedicated website builders some of the providers offer.

Security

Their security features include the basics to keep user data and website security safe. Across all their hosting plans, they have an advanced network firewall and offer two-factor authentication (2FA), which adds an additional level to account security by adding one additional verification step. Automatic virus scan that screens and removes malware found in web files and email attachments is also offered to keep hosted sites free from potential threats, as well as protection from DDoS attacks and free SSL certificates from Let’s Encrypt. Anything else security related is for you to add yourself.

OS

Mirohost uses Debian 12 (Bookworm) as the operating system on their shared and VPS hosting plans. Like with other hosting providers, Debian Linux is known for its stability, hence the reason for its usage with web servers. It’s popular with developers and administrators due to the security policies and reasonable release cycle.

Support

Mirohost provides several support channels to keep customers assisted should they run into problems. Users can reach out via Email or Support Tickets, which are accessible through their custom control panel, the Mirohost Panel. The team also offers phone support, which is available within standard business hours. Their response times are generally quite prompt, Emails and Tickets are typically addressed within a few hours, while phone support aims for immediate assistance. This multi-channel support approach ensures that users have various ways to connect with Mirohost, although Live Chat is notably absent, meaning response times may vary depending on the method used and the time of day.

Conclusion

Pros Cons
  • Fast SSD Storage;
  • Friendly Support;
  • Free Let's Encrypt SSL Certificates.
  • No Live Chat Support;
  • Basic Security.

Mirohost is one of those hosting options that really comes down to what you're looking for. If you’re after reliable, no-frills shared or VPS hosting with solid infrastructure and basic security, they could be a great fit. They offer decent plans for personal blogs, small business websites, or projects where you need stable performance but aren’t dependent on a ton of fancy features. However, if you’re looking for ultra-modern tools like an integrated website builder, or if you’re running a high-traffic eCommerce site needing dedicated support, you may feel a bit limited here. For anyone who needs straightforward, affordable hosting without endless bells and whistles, Mirohost might be right on target.

Elizaveta KudelyaTo all competitors - we hotly advise!Let's start with the control panel. At first glance it is quite decent, user friendly. You start to work hard - you'll be shocked. One example is adding a mail subdomain and create a dozen mailboxes. 80% of the actions while adding each mailbox will be the same and superfluous. There was something else, but I can not remember now.Mailboxes are often blocked, the support doesn't tell the exact reason. Well at least recently they made the functionality of self-unlocking using the web page with an explanation and captcha, the link to which is in the letter about the delivery error.The icing on the cake is tech. support. It is very incompetent.Aleksandr VorobyovPoor support. The worst that can be expected in this business sector.Jan SapiehaThey say that there is protection against parsing, but this is a blatant lie! Parsers attacked my site and it was down for 6 hours. They reacted to this when I called them myself. The worst support. If your website design has not changed, code has not been written, databases have not changed for more than six months, and then there was a problem with the speed of the server response, and you talk about it to technical support, then those who work there pretend that they do not understand the problem. They blame everyone except themselves. Even when you create a ticket on the issue of copying a site to a subdomain, they ignore it. Only they consider themselves number one, no one else thinks so!Tanya MorozovaDon't recomend at all. We paid money for renewal, they received money but did't provide service and refused to return money. They simply steal our money.MuerteI've used their service for a long time, for 3 years already, but when I wanted to switch to another hosting company - my money wasn't refunded to me (the balance). I.e. I paid 3 months ahead, after 2 weeks I decided to move on from them because of some important reasons, and they didn't honor paragraph 7.4 of the agreement. They have no customer loyalty - I have been their customer for 3 years, but to them, I am still nobody.AnatoliyWe've been using this hosting for 6 years, and everything is excellent! I'm totally pleased! Price policy will lead to a decrease in new customers though. Leadership should think about offering discounts to permanent clients as well as for attracting new clients.SergeyI have been using this hosting company for 5 years, the price is too high, of course. I opened a second project, here, and the hosting is great. I don't know why others complain about technical support here, but personally I am pleased. They respond quickly to all my questions, and if you need more, they will help you. Tech support responses are exactly that - supportive, and not snobbish or arrogant, like for example, on liveinternet, where they generally ignore you and don't answer. So I give 5+ marks for tech support. But you need to think about the price, and they could at least give a discount to longtime customers.VladimirI use this hosting for a trial period. Convenient. Speedy. But Joomla doesn't work well. I tried to set up directories by roots in different ways - the result is the same. Fatal error appears no matter what I do.AndreyIt's one of the best hosting-providers in Ukraine, technically speaking. Everything works great for me. Tech support is not perfect, but for large projects I recommend this company.KirillThe most reliable hosting I've ever tried.The call center is always available, with very polite staff; Technical support isn't so great but the rest is very good.The control panel is moderately convenient and understandable. I like it.More expensive than competitors, but that's not critical.HelenEverything is perfect! Everything works for me!RomanIt's excellent hosting, the best among Ukrainian hosters. My site isn't optimized in any way, but withstands more 10,000 visitors per day easily (though only with a few pages viewed by each visitor).
