Dadson TAfter using Site5 for a while now, I have to say it’s neither the best nor the worst. I like its interface that is easy to navigate through. Customer support is better than average and the company has a good uptime score. On the flip side, its pricing doesn’t match what it has to offer and the low plans have limitations tied to them such as the maximum number of visits.Aaron FernandesIf you're a developer then you'll pretty much feel very familiar with Site5 as the hosting service is geared towards the programmer/developer customer base. Their servers and resource offerings are very good and I've never encountered a 503 Error or MySQL timeout when running intenstive WordPress applications on Site5. I would say the only downside to the service is their price which can be high in comparison to competitors but their resources are up to par. Their support as well is very good and I believe many of their support staff are developers as well and can solve issues in a jip. In my experience they really know what they are talking about and what they are doing - however the only downside to their support is response time. Many times you are forced to open a ticket which can take a while for a response however their responses are always substantial and they solve things very quickly. Overall I would say you should go with Site 5 if you're a developer or programmer looking for commercial hosting without worrying about server management, and if you would like a very tech-savvy support team behind it as well. Even though they don't explicitly state this they are often able to clean malware and hacks without the need for an outside service unlike other web hosts. Overall they are petty great, honest, but can feel more so geared towards the very tech-savvy. Laymen looking for ordinary hosting may find their service a little "cold" and unpersonable but if you're a programmer or developer you will feel right at home on Site 5. They used to offer full feature trials a few years back which I think they've stopped but you cannot go wrong with Site 5 due to the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. I have used both their Shared offerings as well as VPS.Radoslav ChakarovLightning-fast speeds but...We can't fault Site5 for slow services - we've only had a positive experience with our shared account and our website felt like flying. So far so good.Apart from the free migration included in the package (we didn't need it) there wasn't much else. There was no free SSL, we didn't find a CDN, not even a comprehensive backup tool. This would be alright if the plan was $2-$3/mo, but we were paying nearly $7/mo for this bare-boned package. Not very cost effective, but if you're looking for optimal speeds - Site5 can do wonders for you.Sudip SenguptaWe had our site hosted on Site5 for more than 2 years. We had a great experience initially with great support and every required feature at a decent price. However, once we looked to scale beyond the initial stage, we noticed that it was time to move beyond Site5. Our site was on Magento which happens to be a resource intensive platform, and it was apparent at the time that the resources we were getting through the Site5 shared hosting platform wasn't good enough. We looked for plans within Site5 however we were dissapointed and finally had to move out.Mario PetkovskiI had a great experience using Site5 hosting. I was drawn to their offer due to their free trial which is incredibly rare in the hosting market and good value hosting. They offer great uptime and decent loading times which are not the best, but what can you expect when their plans start from $8.95. They also offer a different variety of features like a 45-day money-back guarantee, the ability to choose server location which is great, and stuff that you probably get in premium hosting plans at other companies like unmetered bandwidth and unlimited disk space. The cPanel is also very easy to use and available support within minutes. They have a lack of features like SSL certificates which can be purchased from another provider. Considering all this, I would definitely recommend this hosting provider.Jeremy SmithRecently I had a very bad experience with Site5 and their support was helpless. We had a server with Site5 with an old Joomla site but Site5 upgraded their servers. The new server was lacking the support for old PHP sites and thus the website broke. Their support was not able to offer an older PHP version. I admit that the website should be upgraded to latest PHP version but the host should keep running it until the upgrade is in place. Even on the new server, speed is not that good. Their support team doesn't seem to be an expert problem solver. Overall I'd not recommend any hosting that would come up with breaking changes without a return path.Slaviša MilojkovićSite5 is more oriented towards designers and developers. So mostly you would have to look in the knowledge base for answers yourself. Otherwise their support is really responsive and knowledgeable.Speed is better than average and the uptime is great. One interesting thing they offer, which is pretty rare, is one month of free trial of their services. They also offer free migrations 45 day money back guarantee, backups, and many other neat features.Downside is that the pricing is not well explained, even misleading. To get the lowest price, you'll have to pay for two years in advanced. But overall, their services are worth the money invested.Jonquil McDanielSite5’s web hosting offers a free trial period, which is unusual for a web hosting provider but pretty darn handy in the decision-making process. There’s also the typical money-back guarantee period and an uptime guarantee. Uptime and speed were decent but not amazing. The customer service reps seemed more advanced and knowledgeable than average. Site5’s web hosting plans were pretty expensive though for what added up to average services and features.Adeel Khansite5.com is little expensive hosting service but they are giving some cool stuff free for new customers. like unlimited bandwidth, unlimited disk space, Free migrations, Backups, and 24x7 customer support. Their Cpanel is good an user friendly. The Cons are that they are expensive an not really UnlimtedAnastasia SynenkoHere is what you should know about this hosting:- If you liked the pricing you see on their shared plans page, note that you should pay for 2 years in advance, otherwise add $2 more for each months;- If you hope to use their shared servers for your advanced web applications - you will be likely suggested to move to VPS, which are more expencive, than at competitors';- Support agents seem to outsourced, their english may be confusing;- Despite on the other companies who offer similar services for similar rates, Site 5 do not have any security services for their clients. The only thing they can suggest is buying VPS and installing whatever you want;- You cannot set up basic hosting plan with monthly subscription, only option is to pay for the Annual period or more.- SSL cerificate is paid (some competitors offfer it for free or much cheaper) and it is confusing that alongside with a sing "Billed once" they state that this is a certificate for one year. However they have a quite informative knowledgebase and support agents answer pretty fast. Some time ago they've also offered a free 30-days trial, but looks like the offer is gone.
