First impression
B-One.net was founded in 2002 by Danish entrepreneurs Jacob Jensen and Thomas Frederiksen as a low-cost web hosting service. This small web hosting startup quickly expanded and in 2005 they moved their headquarters from Denmark to Dubai, shortly before they changed their name to the one we know today - One.com.

Currently, they have a massive customer base of over 1,500,000 users worldwide, which they serve from their offices that span 8 different countries (offering local support in several of them). Their products range from Shared Website Hosting, Dedicated WordPress Hosting, Email Hosting, and Microsoft 365 products.
Trial Period
When initially signing up for website hosting with One.com, you will automatically get a free hosting period of 3 months included on yearly plans (there's no trial period).
Their Website Builder however, carries a 14-day free trial, for you to try it out first before you decide to buy.
Billing Cycle
The payment methods on offer from One.com is PayPal, all major Credit and Debit Cards, as well as Bank Transfers.
Control Panel
One.com makes use of its own, custom-built Control Panel on all its hosting plans. It provides users with an easy-to-navigate and user-friendly interface, from where one can change their contact details, create email addresses, access the Website Builder, find your FTP login details, and more.
Customers will have the option to activate two-step verification to improve the security of their one.com control panel login.

Limits
One.com has 4 Shared Hosting plans, namely Beginner, Explorer, Enthusiast, and Guru. The Beginner plan features a more than decent, 50GB SSD storage space, 512MB RAM (which I personally feel might be too little), and 1 MariaDB database. Explorer packs a bit more punch with 100GB SSD space, 1GB RAM, and 5 databases, whilst Enthusiast offers 200GB space, 2GB RAM, and 10 databases. Their flagship plan, the Guru, boasts 750GB SSD space, 8GB RAM, and 20 MariaDB databases.
Although you can have unlimited email accounts on all plans, you are limited to 3GB of email storage space (except for Guru which has unlimited).

Unlimited bandwidth, SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), 24/7 server monitoring, and mod_rewrite (a flexible and powerful way to manipulate URLs using an unlimited number of rules) comes standard on all plans.
Website Builder
It comes as no surprise that they feature their own website builder, simply named “the one.com Website Builder”. It is a user-friendly, web-based tool, that allows you to create fully formed, fully responsive, websites in no time, without any coding knowledge whatsoever. Simply choose a template from more than 150 options, drag-and-drop components to your workspace, and start creating your masterpiece. If you get stuck, there is also 24/7 support included.

One should note though that the builder isn’t free of charge and will be an additional monthly cost.
Security
One.com protection comes in the form of a free wildcard SSL certificate, that’s included and integrated into all their hosting packages, to cover all subdomains at a given domain. In addition to this, users will get free daily backups to protect their files, emails, and databases.
SiteLock, a cloud-based security tool that scans your website for malware and vulnerabilities, is also available at an extra monthly fee on all plans except Guru, where it is included free of charge. They offer their customers the choice between two SiteLock packages, the SiteLock Find, which does a daily scan of your website and alerts you if a threat is discovered, and the SiteLock Fix, which includes the same features as Find, but also fixes threats and vulnerabilities on the go.
OS
One.com makes use of Linux, the best-known and most widely used open-source operating system, on all its servers.
Support
One.com offers 24/7, multilingual support through Live Chat and an Email Ticketing System. I tried them out on both and was left with mixed feelings. The Live Chat agents are friendly, enthusiastic, and really quick to respond, probably even within 10 seconds, but took a very long time to answer even basic hosting questions, whilst their Email support only responded within a few hours. The biggest drawback for me personally is the lack of Phone Support.
There is however a decent knowledge base to look for solutions yourself.

Conclusion
| Pros | Cons |
|
|
One.com plans are affordable but lack scalability, support is average, and their money-back guarantee is only 15 days compared to the industry average of 30 days. Their servers, however, perform well and come with excellent uptime, so with all things considered, One.com is a reliable hosting provider for newbies or small businesses that are looking for basic features and support, but should you need more there surely are better options out there.
