Trial Period

This provider offers a 7-day free trial period for users who would like to test out their Shared Hosting. The trial provides full-access to an environment where all features are activated so that customers can use their Shared Hosting facility in a live environment without buying any plan. Along with this, there is also a 14-day money-back provision on all Shared Hosting & VPS hosting plans.

Billing Cycle

Billing options with PS Cloud Services provide adequate flexibility. Regardless if you take its Shared Hosting, VPS Hosting, or Dedicated Servers, options to pay on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or yearly basis are available to you, along with some very enticing discounts offered on long-term commitments.

They also now take Visa and Mastercard, as well as local payment services such as QIWI, which are one of the most widely used payment systems in the area.

Control Panel

Looking at their control panel options, they maintain a very simple, uncluttered format by offering the Plesk control panel on their Shared Hosting plans, and on VPS, Plesk or ISPmanager. ISPmanager is perfect for customers with a bit more control needs. Limits

Their Shared Hosting plans, all running on high-performance SSD drives are available in six, scalable and affordable plans that range from 1 Core CPU (20%), 256MB RAM, and 1GB SSD disc space, great for small basic websites, on the XS plan, up to 2 Kernels (120%), 2048MB RAM, and 50GB SSD storage on the XXL plan, sufficient for low volume eCommerce websites. For those wondering what the difference is between a Core CPU and a Kernel - a CPU core is a processing unit within a processor chip, while a kernel is the core of a computer's operating system.

Similarly to their Shared Hosting, VPS plans are also available in various options. Their entry-level plan, the Basic 1, comes with 1 Core CPU, 1GB RAM, and 20GB SSD disc space, whilst their top-tier plan, the Basic 5, features 8 Core CPUs, 16GB RAM, and 200GB SSD disc space. All VPS plans include 1 IPv4 address.

Website Builder

They offer a straightforward website builder, the Constructor, at an additional monthly fee. It is designed for both newcomers and seasoned designers alike. With a drag-and-drop interface, it allows users to easily craft professional websites without needing to code. Each plan includes essentials like a selection of templates, integrated SEO tools, and mobile optimization. There are options for e-commerce integration, which include product catalog management, payment gateway setup, and order processing. For those interested in launching an online store, this builder provides a streamlined path from setup to sales. Although this builder comes at an extra fee, I think it is worth it. It is one of the better builders I have worked with.

Security

Security is given top priority on several different levels by PS Cloud, offering peace of mind to its users. It has a Security Operations Center (SOC) that guards its users with real-time security and rapid response to threats, ensuring proactive action in situations involving vulnerabilities. PS Cloud Services also has a DDoS (distributed denial of services) service that eliminates malware traffic in real-time and prevents server overloads by intrusive attacks. Furthermore, they also offer SSL certificates by Thawte, Sectigo, GeoTrust, and RapidSSL to name just a few, to encrypt sensitive data, ensuring secure connections and unauthorized protection of data on sites. Additionally, an extra free-of-charge SSL certificate by Let’s Encrypt is offered with all Shared Hosting plans.

OS

PS Cloud Services keeps its hosting OS lineup modern and flexible, with AlmaLinux as the default OS on their Shared Hosting plans. It’s an excellent choice for stable performance and security. On the VPS side, they offer the choice between AlmaLinux 8 or 9, CentOS 7.9, 8, and even the newest CentOS 9. Debian fans can pick from versions 10, 11, or the latest 12, while Ubuntu enthusiasts have access to 20.04, 22.04, or 24.04. 

Support

This provider offers multiple support options to ensure you’re never left hanging. Customers can reach out through Support Tickets, Email, and Phone Support, covering everything from quick questions to technical troubleshooting. Email replies are known to come in within a few hours, depending on the complexity of the issue. For urgent needs, the best is to pick up your phone to get immediate support from friendly and knowledgeable agents. Furthermore, their office in Almaty is open to walk-in visitors from 10:00 to 19:00 on weekdays. 

Conclusion

In my opinion, PS Cloud Services is a solid hosting option if you are looking for a new provider, especially if you’re looking for local hosting in Kazakhstan with flexible billing and solid, friendly support. Their wide range of hosting plans, from small-scale shared hosting to more robust VPS and dedicated servers, means there’s something for everyone, whether you're running a blog or a small business website. However, if you need a high-end, feature-rich platform with extras like a free website builder or extensive e-commerce tools, it might fall a bit short.
