First impression
MegaHost is a web hosting services company that was founded in 2008. They are based in Uralsk, Kazakhstan and offer services such as shared hosting environments, virtual private servers, and domain registrations. They are known to be competitively priced and reliable.

Trial Period
Prospective customers can evaluate Megahost's shared hosting through a seven-day trial period, enabling preliminary testing of platform capabilities without financial obligation. Beyond this trial window, a conditional 30-day refund policy applies to certain services, subject to deductions for setup costs and domain registrations. Clients considering cancellation during this period should consult support representatives to clarify eligibility, as policy enforcement may vary depending on specific service utilization and contract terms.
Billing Cycle
Their billing cycles are straightforward. For both their Shared Hosting and VPS Hosting plans, clients have the choice to pay either monthly or yearly. While some of their plans offer yearly billing discounts, unfortunately, they don't all include it.
They take payment by Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, PayPal, T-Pay, Cryptomus, and YooKassa, a Russian online payment system.
Control Panel
The Plesk and cPanel control panels is included in all their shared hosting, providing users with super easy website administration through its automated maintenance features and feature rich interface. Virtual private server plans come with VMmanager's specialized virtualization platform, which excels at coordinated management of multiple virtual instances. This system combines robust resource allocation tools with a logically structured dashboard, enabling efficient oversight of VPS configurations without unnecessary complexity.
Limits
Megahost divides its shared hosting into three tiers – the Basic, Gamma, and Delta. The Basic plan comes with 15GB SSD space and 512MB of RAM, great for very small websites. Middle-of-the-road Gamma provides users with twice the resources in the form of 30GB SSD space and 1GB of RAM, and lastly, the top-of-the-line Delta plan features 60GB SSD space and 2GB of RAM, suitable for more demanding projects. All plans come standard with unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts and MySQL databases. One should note though that email storage consumes the assigned SSD space in addition to website files.

For VPS plans they utilize enterprise-grade hardware from HP and Dell, offering scalable solutions across a performance spectrum. The baseline SSD Mini configuration delivers 1 virtual CPU core, 1GB memory, and 20GB solid-state storage. At the upper tier, the SSD-8 plan provides substantial resources with 8 CPU cores, 8GB RAM, and 100GB SSD capacity, suitable for demanding workloads. Intermediate options maintain proportional scaling between these endpoints, allowing precise resource matching to operational requirements.

Website Builder
They offer three plans for their website builder with different amounts of disk space and domain limitations. This website builder runs on the Site.pro platform, known for being very flexible and user-friendly and a very suitable option for someone who wants to create a website without the need to have any programming knowledge. With drag-and-drop, it’s very easy to switch between templates, upload images, and create precise layouts to get a shiny, professional look. It’s loaded with useful features like mobile responsiveness, SEO optimization, and e-commerce capabilities to create an online shop. It’s very easy to use with zero experience at all.
Security
This host has managed to secure their hosting platform and infrastructure in such a manner that user data will most likely never be compromised, and everything runs like a smooth machine without hiccups. They have added DDoS protection for those nasty distributed denial of service attacks, to stop malicious traffic and keep sites live during attacks. Free certificates from Let’s Encrypt come included in the hosting plans to encrypt data in transit between your site and visitors to preserve data confidentiality, as well as ClamAV, a free and open-source anti-malware software that will scan and dispose of malware programmes to ensure you remain virus-free. Users who require more high-level SSL certificates can obtain certificates from Thawte, Sectigo, GeoTrust, and RapidSSL and others at additional costs.
OS
All of Megahost’s shared hosting plans utilize the CloudLinux Operating System, a name well known in the hosting world. This OS is stable and secure, and one of my personal favourites. With their VPS hosting, however, they have a decent choice of operating systems. You get to choose from a list that includes AlmaLinux, Astra, CentOS, Debian, FreeBSD, Oracle, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and VzLinux, and a variety of different flavors of Windows. VzLinux, in particular, is an OS that doesn't get offered too often. As a virtualization standard, the system just so happens to be perfectly compatible with the use of OpenVZ and KVM technology. If you’re in the market for a great solution to run your virtual servers, the above mentioned OS would be great due to being built to run resource intensive applications.

Support
If you run into problems and need immediate help, slow support is the last thing you want, and luckily, with MegaHost, that’s not an issue at all! You can reach them 24/7 through various channels, including Email, Phone, Support Tickets, Telegram, and Live Chat. Live chat responses are instant, emails typically get a reply within an hour, and for more technical issues, they prefer you submit a Support Ticket, which usually gets resolved within 1-2 hours (though complex cases may take a bit longer). My experience with their support has been great, and honestly, I can’t fault them in any way.

Megahost is a good option if you're looking for hosting that's straightforward, reasonably priced, and well-equipped with essential features. Their Shared Hosting plans are great for small to medium sites that don’t need loads of resources but do need dependable speed and uptime. They’re also perfect for people who might feel intimidated by more complex hosting providers, thanks to their simpler setup. However, I feel they might not be the best fit for enterprise-sized businesses.
