First Impression
PrivateAlps (www.privatealps.net) is a Swiss-based cloud hosting and VPS provider that was founded in 2019. They fill a specific niche in the hosting market with a singular, and very clear focus on client privacy and anonymity. Unlike mainstream hosts, its core promise is to operate as a "fully DMCA ignored" and "no logs" service provider, thus offer a “free speech friendly” hosting environment. This positions it explicitly as an offshore web hosting solution, appealing to those users who prioritize uncensored operations and data confidentiality above all else, even the exact location and founders aren’t publicly disclosed. This provider offers a wide variety of services such as Linux VPS Servers, Windows RDP, Shared Hosting, Bare-Metal Servers, Dedicated Servers, and VPN Solutions.

Trial Period
The unique Swiss hosting provider does not mention any free trial periods for new customers to test out their services before committing. This, however, is a common practice for hosts in the privacy and offshore niche. Furthermore, there is also no money-back guarantee policy in place, so potential customers should be prepared to forfeit at least a one-month’s payments should things not work out as expected.
Billing Cycle
PrivateAlps offer their shared hosting clients the option to pay monthly, for 2 months, 3 months, semi-annual, or annually, while their VPS clients can either pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, or for 18 months at a time. For more expensive dedicated server plans, which can cost thousands per month, it's possible that longer-term contracts with some discounted rates could be negotiated directly with their sales team, but it’s not a given. They currently accept over 50 cryptocurrencies as payment methods, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Monero, as well as PerfectMoney, an online payment system and digital currency, often categorized as an e-wallet.
Control Panel
For their standard Shared Hosting plans, PrivateAlps include the widely used cPanel control panel, which is the industry-standard. This panel is well-known for its user-friendly interface through which users can easily manage their websites, emails, databases, files, and more.
For more specialized services, like their “Tor Hidden Hosting”, management is handled through the aaPanel interface. Their VPS and dedicated server offerings on the other hand, provide users with full root or administrator access. This allows experienced users to install and configure any control panel, such as cPanel, Plesk, Webmin, or any software environment they prefer.
Limits & Inclusions
PrivateAlps has 4 shared hosting plans you can choose from. The “Web Hosting Plan V1” is their entry-level option and comes with 1 domain and 50GB blazing-fast SSD disk space, while the “Web Hosting Plan V4”, on the other end of the spectrum, boasts 8 domains and a mighty 500GB SSD disk drive. All plans come standard with unlimited bandwidth.

Their Linux VPS range on the other hand comes in 6 options, starting with the “V1 Private Server” that comes standard with 2 x Xeon E5-2680 v4 vCPUs, 1GB DDR4 RAM, 30GB super-fast SSD disk space, and 100Mbps 2TB bandwidth, and scale all the way up to 10x Xeon E5-2680 v4 vCPUs, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 150GB SSD storage space, and 400Mbps 12TB bandwidth on the “V6 Private Server Plan”, their top-tier option. Perfect for hosting anything from small static sites, up to large database sites and applications, high-traffic websites, or even advanced virtualization tasks.
All these plans are hosted in Switzerland under a "Fully DMCA Ignored" policy, and includes cPanel, PHP support, and a complimentary SSL certificate from Let’s Encrypt.

Website Builder
PrivateAlps shared hosting plans doesn’t include any dedicated website builders, however, it does come with an "App Installer for popular software", which almost certainly means it includes one-click installers for the most popular open-source Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. With these users can easily create professional looking website quickly, and without any coding knowledge.
Security
When it comes to keeping your data safe, PrivateAlps takes a whole different approach than your typical web hosting providers. The whole company was designed for maximum privacy, security, and anonymity. This starts with their core location in Switzerland, a country with some of the world's strongest privacy laws. They don't just rely on the legal framework, but 235+-7rfback it up with a strict "no logs" policy and anonymize access logs by default. So, what's happening on your server stays on your server.
Beyond the legal privacy, they protect your data with strong technical measures too. You can encrypt your entire server disk on most of their VPS plans, and they defend their network with a massive, enterprise-grade DDoS attack protection system. This system is advertised to fend off over 3.2 terabits per second of attack traffic. They don't publicly list standard certifications like ISO 27001 for their physical data centers but instead focus and promote more their operational secrecy. All their plans also include complimentary SSL certificates by Let’s Encrypt.
OS (Operating Systems)
Their standard Web Hosting plan runs on a pre-configured Linux-based stack managed via cPanel, and unfortunately, they don’t disclose what exact version of Linux this is. For their VPS and dedicated server plans, users can choose between Ubuntu 20.04, Fedora 34, Rocky Linux 8.9, Debian 11, CentOS 9.3, or AlmaLinux 9.6. They also offer Specialty VPS plans, such as ones pre-configured with Kali Linux and Parrot Security OS VPS workstations for security professionals.
As you get full root access, most PrivateAlps VPS and dedicated server plans also allow custom ISO installations, meaning you can install virtually any x86-compatible operating system, including various Linux distributions, Windows, or BSD.

Support
PrivateAlps hosting advertises "24/7/365 Premium Support" with "Expert Assistance". But, if you were hoping for a variety of channels to get in touch with their agents, you are out of luck, as they only offer support via tickets. Agents do, however, respond very quickly and come across as very capable and well-trained. For complex issues, especially on managed plans, they note that support can even extend to assistance with settings on a user's PC. Good support, but I personally would have liked to have a few more options to get hold of them.

Final Verdict
PrivateAlps is definitely not your typical hosting provider. They offer a highly specialized service which is tailored for users whose primary requirements are absolute and total privacy, anonymity, and resistance to takedown requests. It is well-suited for privacy advocates, journalists, security researchers using Kali Linux, or projects that are operating in legally grey areas. For a standard business blog, e-commerce store, or portfolio website that doesn't require "offshore" status, the lack of transparent plan details and focus on censorship resistance may be unnecessary. However, for its target audience, it provides a specific and powerful set of tools that are hard to find elsewhere.
