Kei.pl is an inexpensive and reliable web host founded in 2000. This seasoned hosting company with headquarters in Krakow, is owned Cyber Folks S.A. They offer full-spectrum hosting services to the Polish market, including Shared Hosting, VPS Hosting, Dedicated Server Hosting, domain name registrations, as well as SSL certificates.

Trial Period

They offer potential customers an industry-standard Shared Hosting trial of 14 days, with no strings attached, where you can try out all features and performance options first-hand before making up your mind either way. It is worth noting that no money-back guarantee is available on any of their plans, unfortunately.

Billing Cycle

Their shared hosting plans offer only annual subscriptions but with their VPS plans, the clients can also choose between monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or yearly payments.

They now accept all major credit cards like Visa and Mastercard, bank transfers, and PayPal as a payment method.

Control Panel

Kei.pl includes its own custom created “Webas Control Panel” with all its hosting plans. The Webas Control Panel is an easy to use and intuitive hosting control panel that will make hosting online services a breeze. Crafted with new users in mind as much as seasoned users, it's incredibly easy to use and manage your hosting environment, with everything you'll need to host online. Personally, I am accustomed to more established controls like cPanel, but this one probably won’t take long getting used to.

Limits

Their shared hosting plans, all running on SSD cache technology, which provides faster storage with reduced latency, and overall improved performance, are available in 4 plans ranging from the  hQ60 plan to the hQ500 plan, each offering a variety of resources to suit different needs. The hQ60 plan includes a modest CPU allocation, 2GB RAM, and 60GB SSD disk space, making it great for small websites. Moving up, the hQ120 plan doubles the storage to 120GB SSD storage and offers 3GB RAM, handling more traffic but still suitable for medium-sized sites. The hQ250 plan provides 4GB RAM and 250GB SSD space, catering to larger sites with higher traffic, though it has limitations on peak performance. Finally, the hQ500 plan offers the most power with 6GB RAM and 500GB SSD disk space, capable of managing high-traffic sites, but like all shared hosting plans, it comes with the usual limitations on CPU and bandwidth during peak usage. All their Shared Hosting plans come standard with unlimited bandwidth, POP/IMAP email accounts, and MySQL databases.

Their VPS plans also come in 4 options that range from 2x vCore CPUs, 500GB SSD disc space, 100GB bandwidth, and 4x IPv4 addresses on the vQ1 Admin plan, up to 16x vCore CPUs, 500GB SSD storage, 6x IPv4 address, and unlimited bandwidth on their top-tier plan, the vQ4 Admin.

Website Builder

Kei.pl doesn't offer any website builders, nor do they provide web development as a service. Their Webas panel, however, does include auto-installers for popular CMS (content management systems) such as WordPress, Joomla, and Moodle, which come with all the tools to create a professional-looking website swiftly and without coding knowledge.

Security

They back their infrastructure with advanced firewalls, automatic security updates, and an intrusion detection system to repel any planned attacks. Besides that, they also provide protection against DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) attacks so that your website is always online, even during an attack. With features like isolated environments for shared hosting and having an option to add security on VPS hosting, Kei.pl ensures that data is safe and your online presence guarded. Besides that, all plans have as a built-in feature a free SSL certificate from Let's Encrypt, and they back up all of your files daily, storing them for 28 days.

OS

The operating systems (OS) Kei.pl offers are rather limited. On their Shared Hosting as well as their Managed VPS Hosting they include Debian, a rock-solid, open-source operating system known for its stability and security, making it a favorite among developers and system administrators alike. It is standard practice for hosting providers to offer a single OS on Shared Hosting, but one usually gets a couple of options on VPS. Their Unmanaged VPS Servers on the other hand come with full root access, allowing you to install any OS of your choice.

Support

They provide a variety of support channels to ensure you’re never left in the dark. Whether you prefer Email, Phone, or Live Chat, they’ve got you covered, with responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable agents ready to assist. Their agents are quick to respond, within a minute on Live Chat, and within an hour on Email, and they are thorough in resolving issues. One should be aware though that Live Chat is only available during business hours. Additionally, they offer a comprehensive knowledge base for those who prefer to troubleshoot on their own.

Conclusion

Overall, Kei.pl is a decent option if you’re looking for a new shared hosting provider. Their plans are affordable and all run on fast SSD drives, and their support is top-class. However, I would have liked to see more OS options on their VPS, and the lack of a website builder might be a drawback for some.
