Brandon OsborneI have hosted our ColdFusion websites on Hostek shared and VPS hosting plans for twenty years. I've never had any problems whatsoever. Support has always been expedient and more than helpful over the years. I have servers in the UK and the US. Anytime I've had an issue, whether server, network, or code-related, they've helpfully responded within minutes or hours (depending upon the complexity of the problem).Scott BarkerBeen using them for about 15 years for a couple of domains and only using the email side of the domains i have.For the first 14.5 years been great, very reliable service and uptimes, the last 3 months that has changed.Issues with servers at there end ( found out last night from UK support it was related to an expired ssl cert). Would have been nice to have been told that by the use support when i had to chase them for 10 days to address the mail issue i was having on hosting mail servers.Problem reoccured a week later and again same issue with no response to chat or emails and when you do very basic, can you check you mail settings etc. "The settings are: insert screen shot here"and then silence.When you suddenly have the same connection issue on mutiple devices and operating systems and they have all worked and then don't resolve the issue.Quality of support and response times has become a serious issue.On a small upside while they have been upgrading a US server site (which has taken out all my emails, at 30+ sites that use the 2 domains I have, and the upgrade has seriously run over the planned time period), I ended up connected to the UK support team and had very quick response and conversation, was like what support use to be like.I have to say after 15 years, the last few months has left me looking at my options to move.Another week of no response to either exist support requests or new requests.. just crickets.When i tried adding an email address to a different mobile device I get " Your email server certificate is invalid. Would you like to log in anyway" I have been trying to tell them for the last 3+ weeks the issue is not my end, but if i get a response, please check your settings... then silence .I so wish they had people that new what they were doing and management that new how handle a support team, I am so not looking forward to moving to a new host as means a bucket load of work my end, but getting to the point of no option.Russ MichaelsI have been using Hostek for quite a few years, and I used to be a big fan and prior to 2019 I would have recommended them in a heartbeat.Their servers were fast and reliable and their customer support was excellent.They would always respond in a timely fashion, were knowledgeable and would generally be helpful in solving problems.They have their own custom control panel, which is a bit quirky and rather lacking in features when compared to the more commonly used control panels.Sadly in the last 18 months or so things seem to have really gone down hill.While the hosting still seems to be running fine and has still been reliable, the once brilliant support now takes anywhere from days to weeks to get responses and is often less than helpful.They also have replaced their ticket system with a horrible fake live chat. Is ay fake, because it isn't really live nor is a chat, you still have to wait hours, days, weeks for a reply via email, so it is obviously still tickets.Except now you have no way to access those tickets, all you can do is look up previous chats, which often vanish.I have recently discovered that they were acquired back in 2019 by Miss Group, which probably explains things. Hosting companies all tend to go down hill when they are acquired by someone larger.TBH, the only reason I am still with them at this point is because I have some legacy ColdFusion sites.james kiarieI would give them a thumbs up for their timely 24/7 customer support that comprises a knowledgeable and tech-savvy team that always attends to your needs. They have an excellent uptime score, and I cannot recall my site having downtime at all if any. More importantly, they stand out for the less known ColdFusion hosting plans with an option of a free trial upon request. Unlike other hosting plans that leave additional options checked upon checking out, Hostek lets you take the lead and decide whether to pick any of them or leave them. This avoids a scenario where you end up with an unnecessarily inflated bill. I couldn't be more grateful, and it's my sincere hope that they will last a lifetime.
