Trial Period
No trial periods exist to test services from this provider. A money-back guarantee of 30 days on VPS plans, however, is available, and if the services don't meet your needs in the first 30 days, a refund in full is given. Dedicated servers and customized installations aren't covered in the above, though. Cancellations also need to be done a couple of days before the billing period renewal date, and failing to get to them in time means the cancellation doesn't take effect until the next renewal period.
Billing Cycle
TheServerHost simplifies billing cycles by offering month to month billing only on Dedicated Servers and VPS Hosting plans. While it might not be for everyone, in my opinion, it is a refreshing twist. It allows the customer to pay month to month without being locked into something long-term or contract-bound.
They now offer a range of payment options to suit the needs of their clientele. They have conventional payment options such as credit card and PayPal, as well as cryptocurrency payment options such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC, and Dogecoin.
Control Panel
One of the best aspects of TheServerHost is the variety of control panels they offer on their VPS plans. You get your usual heavy-hitters like cPanel and Plesk (which, naturally, come at a premium), and then there’s also a very handy list of free replacements like Zopanel, Webmin, Sentora, VestaCP, ISPConfig, CentOS Web Panel, Virtualmin, and Website Panel (which only comes on Windows-based plans). The twist, however, is that they also have some of the more unusual panels like Ajenti, Kloxo-MR, and Floxlor. For the customers who want to have some light, web-based admin interface that’s not resource-hungry, there’s the best option in Ajenti. For customers who want the high-end version of the old-style Kloxo, however, there’s the option of the forked version in the guise of Kloxo-MR, with lots of added features and customization for speed, and so it’s a great option for experienced users. For multi-client environments, there’s Floxlor, the streamlined option to manage many domains and users in very efficient ways. It’s a breath of fresh air to have all the optionality, so the customers get to choose just the right one to fit into their configuration. Dedicated server plans, however, get cPanel / WHM, OpenVZ, and Plesk.

Limits
TheServerHost has a solid lineup of dedicated and VPS server plans, designed to meet a variety of hosting needs. Their dedicated servers are built for performance, offering dedicated resources to ensure speed and reliability. Each plan varies in CPU cores, RAM, storage capacity, and bandwidth, with affordability in mind. On top of that, they include decent security measures as standard, along with free SSL certificates from Let’s Encrypt, which is always a plus.

For those needing a more flexible and scalable solution, their VPS plans come in multiple configurations. Depending on the plan and server location, the specs - such as CPU power, RAM, SSD storage, and bandwidth - differ, making it a bit too much to list here. However, these VPS options are great for businesses looking to balance cost and performance without sacrificing reliability. Full specifications and pricing details can be found on their VPS page.
Server location matters and TheServerHost understands that. They offer hosting in multiple regions, allowing users to select a data center closest to their audience. This helps improve loading speeds and overall performance, making their hosting plans a practical choice for businesses targeting specific markets.
Website Builder
Since they deal in VPS and dedicated servers, it comes as no surprise that they don't offer any type of website builders as part of their plans. cPanel does come with a very basic website builder, and in addition to that also comes with Softaculous, to easily install common content management systems such as WordPress and Joomla. Plesk also comes with the same and also offers the WordPress Toolkit and the SiteBuilder to assist users in the development and ongoing maintenance of the website. These CMS’s allow even newbies to create website quickly without hassle.
Security
Security-wise, TheServerHost has a great protection mechanism in place. They offer firewall installation on demand to block malware and unwanted access. For managed plans, they offer security and software updates on regular intervals and security scanning also. DDoS protection up to 10GB is included free of charge, as well as SSL certificates by Let’s Encrypt. Furthermore, customers have the option of add-ons like KernelCare, offering automated security patches without reboot. Redundant power and 24/7 monitoring back the entire infrastructure for ultimate dependability.
OS
TheServerHost offers its clients a robust set of operating system options for Dedicated and VPS hosting. Customers have the ability to pick between CentOS 6 and 7, Debian (versions 7, 8, and 9), Ubuntu 16 and 17, Fedora, and SUSE and also Windows Server editions like 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019. Whether the user's a Linux enthusiast or needs a Windows-based configuration, they've got them all covered. CentOS, for instance, is widely used in most businesses as it’s stable and long-term supported, hence the best option to use to host control panels and business applications. Debian, in contrast, possesses rock-solid security and lightweight dependability, hence the best option to use for personal projects and high-performance web hosting. Dedicated Server plans also have the option of VMware ESXI 5.5 and 6.5 and ProxMax VE 5.x and XenServer 6.x. It’s reassuring to know that TheServerHost doesn't subscribe to the one-size-fits-all approach - there’s something for everyone, no matter what type of setup they need.

Support
TheServerHost offers various support channels to the customers. Customers can contact them via a Ticketing System, Email, Live Chat, or by Phone. Their agents are polite and very knowledgeable. They aim to answers any queries within 30 minutes. Personally, I found the Ticketing System to be the fastest, with the reply taking just five minutes. It should, however, be noted that sometimes their Live Chat facility isn’t available.

|
TheServerHost is a solid hosting option, but whether it’s the right fit depends on what you’re looking for. If you need a powerful, unmanaged hosting solution with full control over your server, plenty of configuration options, and global data center locations, then it’s a great choice. Their VPS and dedicated servers offer a decent range of specs, and they include essential security features like DDoS protection and free SSL certificates. However, if you're a beginner or someone who prefers a hands-off, fully managed experience with a user-friendly website builder, this might not be the best option for you. Their support is responsive, but you’ll need some technical know-how to get the most out of their services. In short, TheServerHost is great for developers, businesses with IT teams, and anyone comfortable managing their own hosting environment - but not ideal for those looking for a plug-and-play experience.
