Trial Period
If you're considering joining up with TecnoWeb, they do offer a 7-day trial period on their Shared Hosting plans, so you can try before you buy, so to speak. It's only a week, but it's a nice little touch nonetheless, especially if you're an absolute beginner and just wading in the shallow end. When it comes to refunds, though, they don't make it quite so straightforward. The company only issues refunds in exceptional circumstances, i.e., a critical infrastructure failure. So, if a more generous money-back guarantee is what you're looking for, then you might want to look elsewhere.
Billing Cycle
This host is also flexible as to how often you would wish to pay for your hosting. With shared hosting, they make it easy by allowing you to pay every six months, a year, or even bi-yearly if you wish to plan ahead. VPS plans offer customers the option to pay on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, yearly, bi-yearly, or even tri-yearly.
They now accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal as payment options.
Control Panel
Where control panels are involved, TecnoWeb doesn't complicate the issue or try to force customers onto a learning curve with difficult controls. They include cPanel as their standard offering with their shared hosting packages. VPS customers can use either cPanel or Plesk, though - for a little extra money. There is full root access, of course, though, so if you do have some other control panel in mind you can install it. cPanel, other than being a matter of individual preference, is by far and away the most-used, and nearly-universally accepted best control panel available in the hosting universe. Its easy, point-and-click style is very intuitive and makes website management, email account management, database management, and much more very easy even for hosting novices to do.
Limits
Their five shared hosting plans, all running on LiteSpeed Web servers with super-fast NVMe storage, are scalable and well-designed. Their most affordable plan, the Staff plan, comes with 4GB of NVMe disk space, 1 MySQL database, 10 POP/IMAP email accounts, and hosts 1 website—perfect for small static sites or business sites.
Then they offer their Professional plan, their best-selling plan, and it includes 10GB of NVMe storage, 5 MySQL databases, 50 POP/IMAP email accounts, and still only supports 1 website. Then they offer their SME plan, and it includes 16GB of NVMe storage, 8 MySQL databases, 80 POP/IMAP email accounts, and a limit of 1 website—great for medium-sized eCommerce sites.
Last but not least, they have the Company and Corporate plans. The Company plan has 30GB NVMe disk space, 15 MySQL databases, 150 POP/IMAP email accounts, and supports up to 2 websites. The Corporate plan has 60GB NVMe disk space, 30 MySQL databases, unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts, and supports up to 3 websites.
All of the shared hosting plans include a free domain, SSL certificate, and unlimited traffic by default.

TecnoWeb VPS packages are available in four different types, ranging from the VPS S package that includes 2 Core CPUs, 2GB RAM, and 40GB SSD storage, to the VPS XL package, which is the most sophisticated one and includes 4 Core CPUs, 12GB RAM, and 300GB SSD capacity. As discussed above, all of them offer full root access.

Website Builder
TecnoWeb doesn’t feature a proprietary site builder in their shared hosting packages, so you’ll have to go elsewhere if you want to drag-and-drop your way to a site. That being said, they do provide professional web design packages at an additional fee, with the WordPress CMS (Content Management System) providing the foundation of your site. If you sign up for one of these design packages, you’ll be responsible for selecting a theme and providing the content and images necessary to flesh out your idea. Note that once design work is completed the website and any subsequent changes are the responsibility of the user because maintenance is not included in these packages.
Security
In order to keep everything secure, TecnoWeb gets the basics adequately done. They offer free SSL certificates (Let's Encrypt), which are necessary to secure your website's data being encrypted and secure. They also offer daily, and weekly backup for the peace of mind so you are secure in the case of any issues. And they even offer anti-spam protection, and DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) protection to offer defense against cyber-attacks, which, in my opinion, is also necessary. If extra security is a priority, then TecnoWeb also offers the provision of buying add-on services like advanced malware protection. However, multi-factor authentication (MFA) isn’t included, so no extra log-in security I’m afraid. All in all, security provisions are quite solid for general use, though I'd recommend adding extra levels if sensitive data is being used.
OS
Their shared hosting options include CentOS on Linux-based installation or Windows Server 2012 if you're a Windows hosting enthusiast. If you're looking to purchase a VPS package, you have a virtual smorgasbord of options to choose from. For you Linux enthusiasts out there, they've got Ubuntu (16, 17, 19, 20, or 22), CentOS (6 or 7), AlmaLinux (8 or 9), Debian (9 or 10), or even Fedora 30. If you're a Windows enthusiast, you've got Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, or 2019 to choose from. In essence, whether you're a hard-core Linux enthusiast or Windows enthusiast, they've got you covered.

Support
This provider has a number of support channels for different kinds of user needs. You can reach their staff through email or by opening a support ticket in their client portal, which they prefer when handling issues. Phone support is also an option for less complex questions, but it is mostly for users in their local area. Turnaround times on tickets are usually a few hours, but it will also be based on the complexity of the issue as well as the time of day you open the ticket. Last but not least, there is the live chat, which will give you nearly instant responses. Overall, my experience with their support was a positive one. Their staff is courteous, well-trained, and happy to assist.

TecnoWeb is a good hosting company. If you are a Chilean small business or individual looking for some cheap shared hosting with the absolute bare essentials, or a technical customer who knows how to work with a VPS and wants all the operating systems available to play with, TecnoWeb can be the ticket for you. Their locally oriented services and Spanish-language support are great things for Chilean customers. Over-seas customers will need to overcome a minor language barrier.
