Register.com is a well-known American hoster with a broad range of services, including: web hosting, domain names registration, sale of SSL certificates, web design and Internet marketing. It's worth mentioning this company just for the domain zones available. This hoster is attractive to small businesses, due to the fact that registration is simple and basic applications and tools are already included in the control panel.

Faiza GhayyurI once resgister a domain (ticksolmail.com) for some short term purposes on register.com on a US identity but right after 12 hours of domain registration, I got maketing calls on my US number every 30 minutes. for selling web dev and seo services for my just registered domain name. I was so frustrated. I went back to this site and changed the contact details to fake one. I must say that they might sell the customers data to other comopanies!Brian TitusI have worked with Register.com hosting systems for nearly 10 years. I feel they definitely offer you all the tools you could need to run your website including a full control panel with things like File Management, SSL and Security, MySQL database management, and software packages like Wordpress. Everything is accessible in a logical manner and easy to navigate.At this time they only offer a shared hosting platform, no VPS services, but you are able to control your PHP environment using a php.ini config file. The ability to host multiple, separate, websites on the same hosting package is a bonus, as well as handle redirects and forwarding through the system interface as well.The service is very reliable and your website will work fast. However, while most (almost all) issues are user-created I found that the support, while extremely friendly, is very lacking from their early days. While their motto once was "hand-holding included", now any hand-holding must be paid for (ie: "MyTime Support), and while it once was 24/7 phone support that has been cut down to 7 a.m.- 12 a.m., EST, Monday to Friday. Their help files are also terribly confusing. Register.com is quite pricey for their services. While you get your domain name included, it's only the first year free, and while you get a bunch of email boxes for free the amount of space you will have for those inboxes will be low. If you are a developer who knows what they are doing and you do not need any hand-holding I always recommend going with the cheapest provider that has the services you need, however, due to what I consider Register.com's high prices for comparable services I do not recommend them for that reason. Developers who know what they are doing will know what they want and they know they can get it cheaper somewhere else. For folks that don't really know what they are doing and need that extra hand holding need to be ready to pay for that extra support, or figure it out on their own.Mario PetkovskiRegister.com is an average hosting provider that is priced higher than it's competitors. I started with the cheapest plan that is $5.95 and included 300GB of space, dedicated IP and cPanel. The price was higher than my previous host by I thought I will receive more for my money. However, I experienced speed issues where the website was loading too slow as well as a terrible interface which is hard to figure out. Their support is good and it is available 24/7. They have a lot of upsells that bother you as you try to choose the right plan. The lack of features like dedicated servers or VPN is also there. I personally would not pay higher price for hosting that does not provide me with all my essentials.
