The company is based in Zurich, the Swiss capital, and offers services such as domain registrations, shared hosting, root cloud servers, managed cloud servers, AI website builders, as well as email solutions. They are run by a small, but highly competent team of hosting professionals with their target market being the local Swiss population.

Trial Period

They don't offer new customers any free trials to try out their services, which isn't surprising as very few Swiss providers do. They rather back all their service with a full 30-day money-back guarantee. Should you feel unhappy with what they offer within the first month, simply cancel, and they will refund what you paid in full, no questions asked! 

Billing Cycle

KreativeMedia's shared hosting plans are only available in yearly subscriptions, while their managed cloud servers and root servers offer users the option of either paying monthly or for six months at a time.  

The only payment methods they currently accept are PayPal and all major credit cards.

Their shared hosting plans and managed cloud servers come standard with the Plesk control panel. This panel is widely used by hosting providers across the globe and features a user-friendly interface from which users can easily manage all aspects of their hosting account, such as organizing and managing their domains and subdomains, email addresses, databases, FTP access, and more, from one convenient location. Their root servers come with full root access (as the name suggests) that allows you to install your preferred control panel yourself.

Limits

KreativeMedia offers its shared hosting in 3 distinct options, namely the Star, Galaxy, and Cosmos. The Star is their entry-level option and comes with 100GB SSD disc space, 1GB RAM, 20 MySQL databases, and allows you to host up to 20 domains. Next up is the Galaxy plan, which features 250GB SSD storage, 2GB RAM, 50 MySQL databases, and one this plan, you can host up to 50 domains, perfect for larger web projects and applications. Lastly, they have the Cosmos plan. This plan boasts an impressive 500GB blazing-fast SSD disc space, 4GB RAM, 100 MySQL databases, and allows for 100 domains, great for demanding projects where you need maximum performance. All plans come standard with unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts and a complimentary SSL certificate by Let's Encrypt.

Their managed cloud servers offer a bit more choices that range from 2 vCPUs, 4GB RAM, and 250GB SSD disc space on the '2 vCPU / 4GB RAM' plan, up to 16 vCPUs, 32GB RAM, and 250GB SSD storage on the '16 vCPU / 32GB RAM' plan. All managed server plans include rolling backups of 14 days and a single IPv4 address.

Website Builder

Their shared hosting plans include a free license for the WebBuilderKit website builder. This builder comes with a selection of pre-designed themes that one can edit, as well as SEO (search engine optimization) tools, a form designer, social media integration, AI writing assistance, and more. The builder is easy to use and will get the job done for basic websites, but you might want to look at more powerful CMS systems, such as WordPress or Drupal, for larger web projects. Luckily, their plans also include 1-click installations for these.

Security

This provider rents their server racks from the Equinix, SenseLAN, and GTT datacenters, all trusted and well-known for their robust security measures. These data centers are all ISO 27001 certified and PCI DSS accredited. Their hosting plans come with advanced spam protection, around-the-clock server monitoring, daily backups (that are also kept offsite), daily automated malware scanning, DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) attack protection, and free SSL certificates by Let's Encrypt. Furthermore, users will also get 2FA (two-factor authentication) to protect their accounts when logging in. Decent security measures in my opinion, probably more than the majority of providers globally. 

OS

Both their shared hosting plans and managed cloud servers run on AlmaLinux 8, a free and open-source Linux distribution that is compatible with RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux), while their cloud root servers come with the choice between AlmaLinux 8, Debian 11 / 12, or Ubuntu 20.04 / 22.04 / 24.04, as as mentioned before you do get full root access so you can install any other OS you like.

KreativeMedia's support agents can be reached 24/7 via phone or email, and users can also request a callback or even assistance via TeamViewer if the issues are related to settings on the user's pc. Their agents are super friendly and provide support in English, German, and French. You can expect response times of less than an hour on emails. If you prefer to troubleshoot issues yourself, there is a handy knowledge base available on their website too.

Conclusion

KreativeMedia is perfect for startups or even medium-sized businesses looking for secure, fast, and reliable hosting, backed by solid support. Their plans are well structured, scalable, and their overall uptime excellent. It would have been nice if they offered monthly billing on shared hosting, but overall, a solid option if you are looking for a new provider!
