Hostpoint is a web hosting services provider that was founded in 2001 by Markus Gebert, Sandro Bertschinger, and Claudius Röllin. Trial Period
They offer potential customers a 30-day free trial to test out their services and make sure they are the right fit before signing up. This trial applies to both their shared hosting and managed servers.
Billing Cycle
Their shared hosting customers will have the option to choose between paying either semi-annually, annually, or biennially, while users who sign up for their managed servers can pay on a monthly, semi-annually, or yearly basis.
They currently accept payments via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, as well as PostFinance Cards.
Control Panel
Hostpoint's hosting plans come with their own custom-created control panel, the Hostpoint panel. It is super easy to use and comes packed with features such as managing your domains, emails, looking at stats, or editing your website, to name a few. It also provides the ability to do one-click installations of popular content management systems systems such as WordPress or Joomla. This panel exceeded my expectations by far.
Limits
Their shared hosting plans all run on rocket-fast NVMe drives and plenty of RAM, and come in three options. The Standard, which is their entry-level plan, comes with 100GB NVMe disc space (which is massive for any entry-level plan), unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts, 30 days of data backups, and 10 MariaDB databases. Next up is the Smart plan, which features 500GB NVMe disc space, 50 MariaDB databases, unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts, 90-day data backup, and comes with the choice between Nginx or Apache web servers, and lastly, they offer the Business plan, which boasts 1000GB NVMe Storage, 100 MariaDB databases, unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts, 180 days data backup, as well as prioritized SME support, perfect for developers and large projects.

If you are looking at their managed servers, there are a few more options to choose from. These range from 4 GB RAM, 4 vCPUs, 1000GB NVMe disc space on the FLEX S plan, up to 96GB RAM, 16 vCPUs, and 2000GB NVMe storage on the FLEX SSL plan. All plans come standard with a complimentary SSL certificate, Redis, Memcache, and support for PHP versions 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, and 8.4.

Website Builder
Their shared hosting plans come standard with the 'Sites' website builder, though it's worth noting their entry-level, Standard plan doesn't include this website builder (or any for that matter). This builder is very easy to use and features a drag-and-drop interface with a big variety of templates that one can easily edit to create a professional-looking website quickly and without any coding knowledge. These templates are fully responsive and come with useful features like SEO optimization tools.

Security
In addition to their reliability, they also have effective safeguards to secure their hardware and data. Physical security, data centers that are monitored around the clock, and isolated fire containment areas are just a few. Couple that with the fact that they are also bank-certified. To beat that, their tech has advanced anti-DDoS protection, multiple daily backups, and hourly snapshots retained for 24 hours to ensure immediate and effective recovery in case of an accident. Free SSL certificates, virus and spam filtering for emails on autopilot, and the added peace of mind that data is housed only in Switzerland are also offered in every package.
OS
All their servers utilize the FreeBSD operating system, known for being stable and very secure. It features a lightweight architecture and advanced networking capabilities to ensure optimal performance.
Support
I’ve been thoroughly impressed with Hostpoint’s customer service—they truly go above and beyond. You can reach them via support tickets, phone (7 days a week, 8 am-6 pm), WhatsApp, Skype (which is being discontinued soon), or email, making it easy to get help however you prefer. Their response times are unbelievably fast—I’ve never waited more than an hour for a ticket reply, and phone calls are answered almost instantly, usually within a minute. But what really impressed me was the manner in which their agents deal with customers; not only are they quick, but they’re also incredibly friendly and genuinely skilled at solving problems. Every interaction feels smooth and productive, whether you are dealing with a technical problem or just need to chat with their sales department.

If you're looking for a new provider that is reliable and comes with strong security and excellent support, Hostpoint is definitely worth considering. They are perfect for small businesses, freelancers, or even large corporations. Their user-friendly control panel, free SSL certificates, and solid uptime make them great for beginners or those who want hassle-free management. Also, while their managed servers are robust, developers wanting full root access or niche configurations may prefer unmanaged alternatives. Truly a great option if you are looking for a new provider!
