This company deals only with Cloud hosting. It offers PaaS (platform as a service), IaaS (infrastructure as a service) and Cloud VPS hosting. It is different for all other hosting companies as it sells solutions rather than classic hosting.

Basically, you create and configure your own virtual server that is divided into independent and isolated containers that you can use for different applications (or websites). PHP, Java, Node.JS, .NET, Ruby, Python, Go, Docker are supported. The pricing for the platform starts from $2.17. You can add or deduct the required amount of server resources. Moreover, even if you order a server that includes 5 Gb RAM but you have used only 2 Gb of them, you pay only for 2 Gb that was used. That is one of the main advantages of Cloud hosting apart from the fact that they’re easily scalable at any time without interrupting or restarting the server.

Cloud VPS servers have fixed pricing but they are scalable also. The prices are a bit higher than average, however, if you did not use all of the resources, you don’t have to pay for all of them like you do while ordering a classic VPS server. Moreover, you can get a burstable RAM (up to 32 Gb) with each package.

Trial period

The company offers a 14-day trial period for all hosting types indicated on their website except VPS hosting.

Control panel

Hidora offers Kubernetes control panel for their platforms. It is quite comfortable: you are able to install of necessary elements (such as application servers or cache) in a few clicks. As for VPS servers, you can install any control panel on your own.

Limits

VPS servers have standard CPU, bandwidth, disk space and RAM limits. The latter can be scaled automatically up to 32 Gb (in case your traffic increased greatly within minutes). Also, all of resources are easily scalable. As for the platform, they do not have a certain limit. You can order a server with a certain amount of resources but you can change it anytime.

Security

All of your data is automatically backed up every 24 hours (applicable for all hosting types). Basically, security maintenance is under the customer’s responsibility, however, Hidora team periodically patches the containers in order to make sure that the services are secure and up to date. Also, all of the middleware and database stack templates are compiled and verified against vulnerabilities by Jelastic.

OS

The support team can install any desired OS on a VPS servers. As for the platform, the OS itself does not matter as all of your containers will contain the same software.

Support

The company provides 24/7 ticket support. Chat support works Monday till Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m CEST. The representatives are quick, accurate but not very proactive. The knowledge base contains various Jelastic documentation.

Conclusion

A very nice and not very expensive platform and cloud hosting provider. The platforms are an excellent solutions for large and popular online stores, big projects or infrastructure. This hosting will be perfectly suitable for experienced developers, however, absolutely inappropriate for newbies and not very tech-savvy users.
