First impression

Dynamix Host is a French web hosting services provider based in France and founded in 2005 in Auriol, France. They are a small but efficient team of hosting experts, and they mainly focus on the local French market. They possess several ultra-secure Tier IV data centers, all located in the southeast of France, near Marseille, and they offer services such as Domain Registrations, Email Solutions, Shared Hosting, Dedicated Server Hosting, and VPS Hosting.

Trial Period

Unfortunately, Dynamix Host does not provide a free trial period to test their services, nor do they have a refund policy. But since both their Shared and VPS plans have monthly sign-ups, you can experiment with their services at low risk if they won't be suitable for your purposes.

Billing Cycle

Dynamix Host's Shared Hosting plans give users the option to register on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis with fair discounts of up to 20% available on longer periods. Yet, their VPS plans are charged on a monthly basis. It must be noted that all their plans are prepaid.

They accept all major Credit Cards (through Stripe or Monetico Payment), PayPal, Direct Bank Debits, and Bank Transfers as terms of payment.

Control Panel

On their Shared Hosting packages, they provide the Plesk Onyx control panel, the newest version of Plesk which enables web hosting customers to easily do a lot of things in order to manage all aspects of their websites using a powerful and easy-to-use web-based interface. Their VPS packages, however, come with the choice of Plesk Onyx or easyWeb, a light management interface entirely developed in-house by Dynamix Host. It gives users the option to manage their hosting service, i.e., domains, MySQL databases, FTP accounts, email accounts, alias domains, scheduled tasks, SSL certificates, statistics of your website, and more, themselves and without technical knowledge.

Limits

Dynamix Host's Shared Hosting plans, powered by the latest DELL servers, Cisco network hardware, and SSD drives, are available in 10 expertly crafted and scalable plans. Named after the planets in our galaxy, they range from Pluto, the initial plan with 1GB SSD disk space, 1 MySQL 5.6.x / MariaDB 10.x database, and 1 free domain, to Constellation, the max plan with 200GB SSD disk space, 200 MySQL 5.6.x / MariaDB 10.x databases, and 200 free domain names. All Shared plans feature unlimited POP/IMAP mailboxes and support PHP from PHP 5.2 up to 7.3.

Their VPS solutions present customers with three efficient, scalable, and competitively priced options: Small, Medium, and Large. Their Small option presents 1x Intel Xeon E5-2630 v4 CPU, 2GB DDR4 RAM, and 20GB SSD storage. The Medium option provides 2x vCPUs, 4GB DDR4 RAM, and 50GB SSD storage. Their Large option provides 4x vCPUs, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and 100GB SSD storage.

Website Builder

Dynamix Host hosting plans do not have website builders but their Shared Hosting plans come with a WordPress Toolkit. The toolkit provides a single management interface within the Plesk Onyx control panel to install, configure, and manage WordPress installations with ease. WordPress, being a highly used CMS (content management system), enables users to build websites with ease without any coding experience and is used by millions of users across the globe.

Security

Aside from the regular security measures like the Network Application Firewall (WAF), Anti-spam, Anti-virus protection, and DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) attack protection, where the attackers attempt to overload a server with internet traffic in an effort to create interruptions in access to associated online services and websites, Dynamix Host does not disclose details about their other security measures.

OS

Their Shared Hosting is operated on the CentOS operating system, a free and open-source, community-supported web hosting operating system, which is famous for stability and security, whereas their VPS plans offer customers the choice of selecting from Debian 9 (Stretch), Debian 8 (Jessie), Debian 7 (Wheezy), Ubuntu 18.04 / 17.04, CentOS 6 / 7, or Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2008.

Support

At Dynamix Host, you've got round-the-clock technical support for all your hosting needs. But here's the thing: if you've got a problem, you'll need to raise a ticket. They save the phone lines for emergencies, so once you reach out, your issue will be shifted over to a ticket system. They also don't offer a Live Chat function, but luckily tickets get responded to swiftly. In my case, I got a reply within an hour or less every time.

Conclusion

Dynamic Host offers relatively cheap hosting plans, yet you can get cheaper plans elsewhere. They have good uptime, and it's a pity that they don't offer free SSL certificates or additional support channels. However, if you're based in France, they're certainly worth a glance.
