First impression

Crazydomains.com has made a name for itself by offering cheap domain name registration services. They even claim to be the leading provider of cheap domain name registration in regions like Australia, the Middle East, Philippines, India and Europe.

Crazy Domains hosts the websites of over 1.5 million customers, with a network of servers and data centers in the southern hemisphere. But unless you’re willing to sign up for ten years at a time, it’s not the cheapest host in the world.

Their target audience is any company or individual looking forward to registering their domain, renewing or transferring the domain, hosting or building a website, email hosting, or other solutions.

Trial period

Unfortunately, they don’t offer a Free Trial on any of their hosting services, domains or website builder tools, though they do have a 60 Days Money Back Guaranteed.

They are 100% dedicated to providing the very best in Web Hosting and stand by in their commitment with a 60 day Money Back Guarantee. If you aren't completely satisfied with your Web Hosting within the first 60 days you will be given a full refund of the remaining period.

Billing cycle

Crazy Domains features a wide range of pricing plans. Many of them are quite affordable, but not all of the options make a great deal of sense.

For instance, you may purchase hosting services for periods of one year, two years, three years or 10 years. The first three options seem reasonable. However, if you're just starting out with a new website, the 10-year option seems excessive.

They do accept direct Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express payments as well as PayPal, using which you can pay with most credit cards.

Control panel

Everyone who chooses Linux hosting gets some of the same basic features like access to the cPanel, unlimited data, DDos Protection, multi-code support, FTP & SSH access and file backups.

Crazydomains users have the ability to manage their websites or projects completely from creating databases, email addresses, connect domain names, install wordpress websites, install SSL certificates or even stored any kinds of files.

Managing files also through the File Manager option is very easy and the dashboard is very user friendly and easy to understand.

Limits

The WordPress plans vary according to the storage space and the number of websites you can host. The Economy plan is limited to one site, but it gives you 10GB disk space, which is enough for thousands of images.

And if you choose the Ultimate plan, you can host up to 5 domains or 5 websites, 50GB SSD storage, and an Unlimited data transfer.

What's included on their Wordpress hosting plans are the DDos Protection, WP-CLI Enabled, SSH & SFTP Access, Temporary domain name, Autoupdates, 24/7 Tech support, 24/7 Site monitoring etc.

Security

Crazy Domains SSL Certificates provide the highest levels of industry standard security to conduct safe, secure eCommerce transactions, protect passwords, credit card numbers and most importantly, to secure your customer's information. Site Protection identifies malware and security holes on your site that could allow a hacker to steal information, vandalize your site, infect your customers or be blacklisted with Google.

Crazy Domains takes backups weekly. Now, I’d prefer to see daily backups, but on cheap plans, daily backups are rare.

There’s also a backup wizard that you can use to create a backup on demand, or restore a backup. This is really easy to use, and you have the option of downloading the backup to your computer if you want to archive it locally. There is also a one-click restore feature that makes it easy to restore a file you’ve trashed by accident.

Crazy Domains says it’ll monitor your website 24/7 for any security issues, and it also has a plugin, WP Fort Knox, that detects malware.

OS

Their hosting services offer Linux, Windows, and MAC operating service servers.

Support

On its website, Crazy Domains boasts about its 24/7 customer care, which they say provides "expert advice" and "friendly tech support." The company further claims that you can contact them via phone, live chat or email.

I tested Crazy Domains’ support thoroughly so you can judge the quality for yourself. Overall, I was impressed with the response times, and everyone I contacted was very happy to help, although the agents did make a few mistakes.

Unfortunately, the answers I got were not entirely accurate.

First, I contacted the sales chat team to ask if I could have a free hosting trial. The operator should have asked me which plan I wanted. Instead, they offered me a trial of the website builder.

The website builder plan is the only one with a free trial, but it isn’t a ‘true’ hosting plan. It’s also more expensive than the ‘true’ hosting plans. This was not the answer I was hoping to see; it could have resulted in me signing up for the wrong package.

Accidentally selling the wrong product is certainly one way to make a first impression.

Conclusion

Crazy Domains has been a trusted name in the industry for over a decade now.

Pros Cons
  • Affordable plans and services;
  • The features are simple, straightforward, speedy, and efficient;
  • One-click Staging;
  • DDoS Protection;
  • Autoupdates;
  • 60 Day Money Back;
  • Backup and Restore;
  • One-click Site Migration.
  • May charge you for small upgrades;
  • Poor technical support.

Crazy Domains’ web hosting gave me amazing page loading times. That’s the most important take-away. While it’s costly on a short contract, you might be willing to pay the premium to get those quick loading times. There are also some pretty good WordPress features, like auto-updates and a staging server.

Sadurshan SaravanaI recently had the opportunity to utilize Crazy Domains hosting for a project I was working on for an Australian client, and my overall experience was a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side of things, I found their user-friendly dashboard to be a definite plus. The 24/7 support they provide came to my rescue, especially since I'm not a seasoned pro, and I frequently required step-by-step guidance for hosting my client's website. I was also pleased to find that downtime was almost non-existent, which was a significant relief.However, my experience did have its share of drawbacks. The control panel seemed a bit outdated and could benefit from an upgrade. I did encounter some hiccups with DNS propagation, but the support team was swift in offering assistance. To their credit, the support staff was patient and accommodating, addressing a variety of technical queries I had.One feature that stood out was their option to customize servers for VPS, which can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements. The pricing is quite standard and reasonable, which makes it an appealing choice for budget-conscious projects.In conclusion, Crazy Domains is a decent hosting provider with some areas for improvement. It certainly met my needs for the project I undertook for my Australian client.Pawan SinghAccording to the name, crazydomains also provides crazy plans for hosting. Their dashboard is easy to use and you can get 24/7 support from crazydomains so you can ask anything and they will help you. If you are new they can help you to host your first website by providing step by step instructions.I have never faced downtime with crazydomains. So I will prefer it for my customers.Noor KhanI've been a loyal customer of CrazyDomains for nearly 6 years now.What I appreciate:Their post-purchase support surpasses that of other hosting providers.Their Sales team is consistently helpful.Their Speed is up to the markWhat I'm not fond of:They tend to aggressively promote additional, unnecessary services.Their Down time is really irritatesTheir pricing is significantly higher when compared to competitors.Their domain sales platform raises some concernZeeshan FarooqCrazyDomains has a vast array of services, and their domain management tools are top-notch. The hosting speed is consistent, but the control panel feels a bit dated. I had some issues with DNS propagation, but their support was quick to assist, albeit with some wait times.Khurram SohailI successfully transferred numerous websites from a different hosting service. While most sites were smoothly migrated, I encountered issues with three of them. two sites posed problems due to their outdated nature, and the new PHP version wasn't fully compatible with some elements. To address this, I sought help from crazydomains support. I engaged in a chat session with one of their agents for almost an hour, during which he patiently guided me through numerous technical inquiries. His assistance was not only professional but also pleasant and accommodating. With his help, I managed to handle everything except for one remaining website, which I've entrusted to their team for migration.Rahees AhmedHaving used Crazy Domains as a hosting provider for a considerable period, I've found several aspects worth highlighting. One of the standout features is their comprehensive suite of services, which includes domain registration, website hosting, email hosting, and website building tools. This all-in-one approach makes it convenient for individuals and businesses to manage their online presence under one roof.Moreover, Crazy Domains offers a user-friendly interface and intuitive website builder, making it an excellent choice for beginners with little technical expertise. Their global presence ensures accessibility and support in various countries, catering to a diverse customer base.However, it's not without its drawbacks. One concern is the occasional performance issues and reported downtime experienced by some users. While they have a robust infrastructure, the inconsistency in uptime can negatively impact website reliability and user experience.Additionally, pricing can be on the higher side, especially for premium features and add-ons, which may not be cost-effective for budget-conscious users. Customer support also has mixed reviews, with some users expressing dissatisfaction with response times and problem resolution.Pros:1. Comprehensive suite of services, covering domain registration, hosting, and website building tools.2. User-friendly interface and website builder, ideal for beginners.3. Global presence with local support, ensuring accessibility for customers worldwide.Cons:1. Occasional performance issues and reported downtime affecting website reliability.2. Relatively higher pricing for premium features and add-ons.3. Mixed reviews about customer support, with some users experiencing slow response times.In conclusion, Crazy Domains is a solid hosting option for users seeking a one-stop solution for their online needs. Their user-friendly approach and global accessibility make them a suitable choice, especially for beginners and businesses looking for convenience. However, potential customers should carefully consider their specific requirements and budget constraints before making a decision, as occasional performance issues and higher pricing might be a concern for some.Ali RazaBest domain and hosting provider so far. This is the best hosting for WordPress websites. I have very good and easy to use interface. They have cheap and good packages. They give free SSL certificate. The hosting is very fast as compared to other hosting. I would recommend this hosting.Rahul BogharaBest domain and hosting provider the best part of using this hosting is it offers a custom server i.e. we can design VPS based on our customer needs Prices are standard not much high All in all the best ever hosting and domain service I used so far.Gurpal SinghWhat makes crazydomains a reliable choice is its straight forward cpanel and Tutorials as well as ceaseless online phone lines. The speed is high over a shared hosting. They also provide free DNS hosting. Awesome support.Lorienz GalarpeI like their website look and feel, also their customer profile dashboard, easy to navigate and easy to understand.Though my client only ordered their shared hosting (the cheapest) plan, the server performance is good, website page load is fast and always uptime all year round.I haven't really do much on that account as it was very limited, can't install or host multiple wordpress site as it only allows 1 website per account, a few databases for us to install or create staging/development websites, not a bit of a storage.Their support agents really is helpful and knowledgeable, can fix your website errors/issues fast, and very polite.Cons is that the server gets slappy when you install 1-2 staging or development websites under sub-directory or sub-domain.Overall, Crazydomains.com.au is good and will still recommend to people.Dadson TCrazy Domains has budget-friendly and scalable hosting plans. The company offers free DNS hosting. They also have SSL certificates, but one has to pay for them. On the downside, they lack cloud hosting and provide very low storage for their basic shared hosting plan.Francisco Panis KasekerI am working with them about one month. The basic support is really 24x7. The advanced support work fast on working hours on Australia, however I did not have to wait more than 3 hours for all support. Their ready-to-use solutions (hosting plans) are really simple to use to non tech guys, however they are only a very fency cpanel. The softwares are not updated (apache 2.2 and php 5.6!), but the speed of shared hosting is very good and have a excellent latency with North and South America. I think they do not have own datacenter. They are probably only dedicated servers. All thinks that I need to be changed on php setting they did and the SSL problem (they offer automatic way to install their ssl) was fastly fixed. The customer lose some credentials and they were very fast to help. The support does not cause any problem to help you. The domain transferation (for .AU) is easy (using password) and automatic. You pay the domain and they transfer to you without problems. The telephone is 24x7 by true. They are not the best company for shared servers and do not have the last updates of php server (come on, php 5.6!), but if you need a .AU shared server with support that really exist it can be one option. I will recommend due support that really work (I used a lot!), but only that. They need to start provide managed VPS with that excellent support... They are essentially a domain company that offer shared server.
