While the quality of their support has dwindled considerably over the years, their up-time and adoption of new technologies can't be beat at their price point. I've used network/website monitoring on all my servers & websites for about a decade. Year after year, Arvixe is the only company I've worked with that lives up to its SLA. Their control panel is okay, because they use cPanel, however that is about it - servers seem to be overloaded and even their own website is slow to load. Arvixe were suggested to me by a college, I purchased a relatively good service plan (VPS) and my problems started from the very first week. The site suddenly stops working, the hosting server crashes, and if you do nothing about it, it stays the same and your website is gone for god know how long. When you call the support team (which you probably have to do every day), they answer the phone after a long time (not less than 30 minutes waiting time on the phone) and they listens to what you say, then they kindly say something similar to: I will submit or update your ticket so the monitoring team look into it, and I do not feel the phone support is more than a ticket generator. And then, the monitoring team looks into it (after a day), and your website is still dead. Next day or so, it happens again.Mladen JevticLuckily, I canceled their services before I was about to purchase hosting. I was testing them firstly only for domains, where the initial problem occurred. I purchased domain and that was not shown into their system, but they regularly charged for it. And then on the scene came their support. I can not tell, unfortunately, anything good for their support. Initially, until they figure out what is the problem that I am complaining about, and of course not able to help anyhow nor to refund money. Tons of chat history to explain simply that I bought a domain name and that they charged for it, but showing as not purchased, simply does not work.I canceled everything with them and glad that I was not purchased hosting package as I was wanted.AbdelmadjidNo doubt that Arvixe is one of the fastest web hosting available now, but, they have a killing problem, their prices are too high for services like that. We tried them again after the EIG acquisition and there was nothing left from the reliable host that was praised in every hosting forum out there.Now, Arvixe uses the same crammed servers with hundreds of customers on it and that takes a toll on everything. The sites are running rather slow and we were hitting memory limits constantly.The support is of no help, answering basic questions only. Pity the tables have turned so much...james kiarieFirst of all, their website seems so cluttered and makes it difficult to actually find what one is looking for. As if that’s not enough, you have to pay for 2 years upfront at a price of $7.70 which feels like you’re being made to stick with them for 2 years. Another issue I take with them is that they charge for the SSL certificate, something which other providers provide for free. I find this quite expensive. Their page load speeds leave a lot to be desired and their support is quite slow. Overall, Arvixe is generally a less-than-average provider and needlessly pricy.Wolf BishopArvixe is another victim of the EIG conglomerate tragedy. They used to be one of the best shared hosting providers you could find. Then EIG (Endurance International Group) came in and, like they always do, destroyed a great hosting platform.First of all, a common refrain from the customer support at Arvixes is " We do not offer support for that". I am starting to think it is the company line. Some of my client who use this company prefer that I act as the go-between when they need support because as one client put it: "If I have to deal with them I might just shut my business down instead"Reliability is as bad as their support. The one site I currently have on this platform experiences frequent downtimes. I have determined that this is due to the dreaded noisy neghbor syndrome that plagues many shared hosts. If you are running a business, avoid this host. If you are running a personal site that does not have to be reliable or fast and you just want cheap hosting....still avoid this host.
