YOORshop is a French web hosting services provider founded in 2014 by Johann Carnevali in Lyon, France. Being a relatively new player, YOORshop is a small yet highly effective and capable team of hosting professionals, and has a respectable customer base of over 5000 satisfied customers. They offer Shared Hosting, VPS Hosting, and Domain Registrations, and are present on more than 20 data centers worldwide.

Trial Period

Even though they don't offer a free trial period for testing their services, they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all their services except VPS and dedicated servers. This guarantee is offered on all payment cycles and is effective for 30 days from the date of purchase.

Billing Cycle

YOORshop Shared Hosting plans offer customers the ability to purchase quarterly, half-yearly, yearly, two-yearly, or three-yearly subscriptions at minor discounts for yearly or longer subscriptions. Their VPS plan however only offers quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly subscriptions.

They take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express card payments via Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, and PayPal and Bank Transfers (only in €) as payment options.

Control Panel

YOORshop offers the renowned cPanel control panel with all their Shared Hosting plans. It is easy to manage various aspects of your site using the friendly interface, e.g., setup of redirection, changing of DNS settings, addition of domains, management of files on your site, databases, and access to PHPMyAdmin.

For VPS plans, the users are provided with various options to choose from. They have the option to choose cPanel, Webuzo, Interworx, ISPConfig, CWP, or Plesk.

Limits

Their Shared Hosting sites are hosted on Apache Nginx LiteSpeed web servers, using the LSAPI PHP handler for the quickest possible loading of dynamic content, supported by high-performance NVMe SSD disks. There are five levels of these plans, EURO 1 through EURO 5, all with guaranteed resources at reasonable prices.

EURO 1 plan offers sufficient storage of 20GB NVMe SSD, 2x Core CPUs, and 2GB of RAM. Moving up, EURO 2 offers 40GB storage, 3x Core CPUs, and 3GB of RAM. EURO 3 and EURO 4 consist of 60GB storage, 6GB of RAM with 4x Core CPUs, and 80GB storage, 12GB of RAM with 6x Core CPUs, respectively. Their most expensive EURO 5 consists of 100GB NVMe space, 16GB of RAM, and 8x Core CPUs.

All Shared plans have unlimited POP/IMAP email accounts and 100 MB/s-unlimited bandwidth by default.

Just like the YOORshop VDS packages, the YOORshop VDS packages come in 5 scalable packages ranging from 10GB NVMe SSD storage, 2GB RAM and 1x 5GHz CPU on the SSD-EU 1 package to 100GB NVMe storage, 16GB RAM and 8x 5GHz CPUs on the SSD-EU 5 package.

Website Builder

YOORshop does not have a website builder as part of its packages. However, Softaculous is included in all Shared Hosting packages. This is a commercial library of scripts that installs many CMS (Content Management Systems) like WordPress, PrestaShop, Joomla, Drupal, OpenCart, or Magento automatically. With these CMS tools, it becomes easy for users to construct professional websites without writing any code.

Security

YOORshop's internal network is secured with a Web Application Firewall (WAF), a dedicated firewall that filters, monitors, and blocks HTTP traffic to and from web applications. Their hosting accounts include many security features, including a free TLSv1.2 LibreSSL certificate, an open-source variant of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. They also employ Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam filtering, protection from DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) attacks, Live Kernel Protection, which allows critical security patches to be installed without disrupting runtime, and bot blocking. They also proactively block access from many countries with rampant spam traffic and hacking.

OS

Their Shared plans utilize CloudLinux as the operating system (OS). The OS based on CentOS is renowned for providing a secure and stable platform for shared hosting setups and is utilized for hosting over 20 million websites worldwide.

For VPS you are able to choose Almalinux, CentOS 6 / 7 / 8, Debian 8 / 9 / 10 / 11, Ubuntu 14 / 16 / 18 / 20, or Suse.

Support

Their support staff can be reached at all times via Phone or Ticketing System with a response time of 30 minutes or under. The support staff are excellently trained and I was pleasantly surprised at how high their standards of service and technical expertise are. Possibly one of the greatest support departments that I have had the pleasure to deal with, to be honest.

Conclusion

YOORshop is a well-balanced, client-focused, hosting firm, suitable for small to medium-sized businesses. They have low prices, well structured, and coupled with great support, good uptime, and great security. A good choice if you are looking for a new provider.
