FAQS:
Is Namecheap Shared Server Hosting cloud-based? No, although all Namecheap Shared Hosting plans are hosted on a Solid-State Drive (SSD), which helps to enhance performance over traditional hard disk drives (HDD). SSDs also contain no moving mechanical parts, offering faster access time and low latency. Namecheap Stellar Business plans with a US datacenter and all plans with an EU datacenter are, however, based on Cloud Storage. Here, traditional physical machines are converted to virtual machines (VM), running on a readily-available VM infrastructure.
How is hosting location-specific? It is ideal for your hosting server location to be as close to your audience as possible. If you need affordable hosting for Europe and/or Africa audiences then it’s a good idea to find Shared Hosting in Europe. This means your website and web pages will load faster, you’ll have higher search engine rankings, and you’ll boost your SEO. So for the best Shared Hosting EU, look no further than Namecheap’s EU datacenter, which is also 100% renewable energy-powered.
Should I choose VPS Hosting instead of Shared Web Hosting? A VPS gives you access to your own personal server, one that’s split up into several virtual servers with allocated resources (disk space and bandwidth) as well as a pre-installed operating system (OS) of your choice. For website owners looking to grow and scale up, a VPS is highly recommended. If your website is too big for Shared Web Hosting but too small to benefit from Dedicated Server Hosting, a VPS is the right choice for you.
Plans
Note! Some companies do not include VAT in their prices. Prices are indicated for one month’s pay. If you pay for a longer period - discounts are possible. Domain prices are indicated for new domains registration.
I've been using namecheap.com for 10 years. According to their name they offered cheap domains. If you are a student then you can get a free domain via https://nc.me/ from namecheap. I have purchased many domains & shared hosting from namecheap. They provide 100% uptime. I have used their support for moving my websites from the old server to namecheap and they did it. Now it becomes a little bit expensive but their services are more reliable then other hosting providers.
I will give 9 out of 10 to namecheap.com
Perhaps the most efficient and user friendly interface along with unbeatable pricing. Although Its the traffic on the server that makes the speed considerably low at times. My overall experience with namecheap is very good, would highly reccomened it.
I will recommend Namecheap, but only for domain names. The only other registrar that I found cheaper was Cloudflare but they don't have the features Namecheap offers yet.
On the plus side, Namecheap does have one of the more flexible payment options for the different plans. The customer support is good, though I would say that I have seen better in some of the other hosting choices. That being said, they charge more too. Overall, you can't go wrong with Namecheap.

Web hosting has been fine for the past two years and decided to set up our email with them. BIG MISTAKE! 1 month in, hundreds of our emails disappeared in a flash. I switched my Outlook settings to not update in case anything more
happened and what a great move that was as 2 days later ALL the emails disappeared. Magically, all the folders re-appeared but the emails are still gone. 2 years worth of business emails simply vanished with all the data in them. Namecheap's answer after promising to and not delivering is "Sorry, no guarantees"
My advice is to pay a higher price and find a dependable provider as namecheap is that!

I register all my domains on Namecheap, right now i'm running my WordPress Blog on the Shared Hosting plan. Great speed and no issues at all, so i can guess the support is ok too :) For the price you pay i think this is one of the best Shared Hostings you can get. Worth a try !
Namecheap becomes my first choice when I want to register a domain name, for me or for my clients, and I already all of my domain names to it.
I tried their shared hosting and it was good enough for getting started and their prices are good regarding the services and the technical support they provide. The user panel they have is really friendly and easy to use.
Great for start-up and first time online, and even for small eCommerce websites
One of the shared hosting company that I can recommend from the bottom of my heart, but only for beginners
Really, very cheap, and they provide everything you need in a simple way, even free SSL - and all is working 100% perfect.
Me, or any of my clients never have a problem with speed of the website, or response time of their support.
So really, great, but if you want to grow, just to know that after one year, you will need to pay 50 % of the full price for SSL, and after 2 years full price - and almost same for hosting package you have with them
BUT if your website grows, you will get notifications that you need to buy a larger hosting package, or you will have problems with page load speed ( reasons : large number of nodes, email sending quota, CPU load etc.)
In any case - I believe they have right price to service ratio, and they are very good choice for beginners.

Even though the company is mainly known for its domain sales (I have bought a couple from them), the hosting service is surprisingly good. Prices are ok,speed could be better and service reliability is great.
But the best is their support team. From more than 30 hosting companies I used, Namecheap is among one of the best regarding their support. The live chat makes it super quick to resolve small issues, and via email, the answers are always helpful and professional. That alone is worth the price and wins against other hosting companies.

I was using NameCheap for 20+ domain names for years and had no problems with the service. The domain management panel was intuitive and straightforward and the prices were very affordable.
This was before I decided to try their shared hosting as well. The speed was relatively slow, compared to websites I had with other hosts. And this was on a completely new WordPress installation, not even a big website.
When I contacted support, they gave me some excuse and moved me to another server. The situation there was not much different. It seems that NameCheap is heavily overselling servers.
Final verdict - good for domains, poor for hosting.

Namecheap is mostly known as a decent domain name marketplace. However, they offer other services too, such as Wordpress hosting, Dedicated servers, VPSs and some other services. There is no huge variety of services, which I think is good, since they seem to be focused on products they can concentrate on and deliver a decent service. There is live chat support, which is really good and not frequent with many other providers. The EasyWP Turbo subscription plan for Wordpress offers a decent bang for the buck. Also, the VPS pricing is really good, compared to some other big players.

I bought domains on thanksgiving. I think 5 domains and its really afforable, plus hosting is cheaper than international hosting companies. They offered me domain and website transfer for free which really hooked me. And they completely moved everything just in time. Dashboard is easy to use. If you are looking for an affordable package, I would recommend namecheap

Check out companies here from the same country, with similar scores and customer numbers.
We highly recommend not to purchase the cheapest hosting package. Usually, they come with a row of issues: the server is often down, the hardware is outdated, lousy and slow support, registration and payment errors, etc.
For your convenience, we have created a tool that can help you to choose the right hosting package for you just by answering a few simple questions.
CMS is a content management system. A lot of hosting providers offer so-called CMS optimized packages. However, this is a marketing trick because most CMSs do not have special software or hosting requirements.
Bulletproof hosting - it’s a type of service that allows to host almost any type of content, even the restricted one (adult content, warez, spam etc). Bulletproof hosting providers do not remove your content in case someone reports an abuse.
Unlimited hosting - refers to companies that provide packages with unlimited disk space, bandwidth, number of domains, databases or email accounts, etc. This is usually a marketing trick but sometimes you can find something worth a try.
Secure hosting - it’s a type of service when the hosting provider is mostly responsible for the security of the user’s account: updates the software installed on their servers, provides an antivirus and malware scanner, firewalls and basic anti-DDoS protection, etc.
DDoS-protected hosting - companies that provide packages that include anti-DDoS protection. These packages are considerably more expensive than regular ones. Nevertheless, they’re totally worth their price because the company will ensure that your website is secured from cyber attacks.
The more comfortable the control panel is, the easier will it be for you to change the website and hosting account settings.
Most hosting providers that are in TOP20 in our rating offer user-friendly control panels, such as cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin. That’s why we recommend to pay attention to other, more important parameters, while choosing a hosting provider.
