First impression
AdminVPS is a Russian-based hosting provider that was founded in 2015 in Moscow, Russia. This relatively new player in the hosting market offers clients Shared Hosting, VPS Hosting (virtual private server), VDS Hosting (virtual dedicated server), Dedicated Servers, as well as Domain Registrations. They have seen exponential growth in their short existence and currently host over 25,000 sites and over 8000 active clients. Their servers, running on premium hardware and super-fast NVMe drives, are available in multiple locations, including Russia, Belarus, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Trial Period
They provide clients with a complimentary 7-day trial period for both Shared Hosting and VPS upon request. Additionally, if you are transitioning from another hosting provider, they offer a free site transfer and provide 2 months of free hosting. However, it's crucial to be aware that hosting game servers on AdminVPS, whether on free or paid VPS, is strictly prohibited.
Billing Cycle
You have the freedom to decide on your signup terms with AdminVPS. For Shared Hosting, you can choose between monthly, biannual, annual, or biennial plans. If you're interested in VPS (virtual private server) or VDS (virtual dedicated server) plans, the choices span monthly, triannual, biannual, or annual commitments. Plus, the longer your commitment, the more discount will be applied to your total at checkout.
When it comes to paying, AdminVPS is pretty accommodating. They accept over 40 payment methods, with the most popular ones being Kassa, WebMoney, Visa Cards, Mastercard, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
Control Panel
AdminVPS makes use of the ISPmanager Lite Control Panel on their Shared Hosting plans. This Linux-based control panel supports all the popular CMS systems as well as custom websites, perfect for managing dedicated, game, and VPS web servers (although using a VPS on AdminVPS is strictly prohibited), as well as selling shared hosting.
On Dedicated Server hosting plans, you can also use Plesk as they offer Windows-based options.
Limits
Their Shared Hosting portfolio offers users a choice between five plans: Promo, Start, Standard, Pro, and VIP. The primary distinction lies in the allocated NVMe disk space and MySQL databases. The entry-level Promo plan provides 2GB of lightning-fast NVMe space with a single database, suitable for personal blogs or basic websites. At the top tier, the VIP plan features an impressive 20GB of NVMe space and supports up to 50 MySQL databases. All plans include unlimited traffic, a complimentary SSL certificate by Let’s Encrypt, DDoS protection, and daily backups.
In a parallel fashion, their VPS plans present users with various scalable options. Starting with the Lite plan, which encompasses a 1 3.6GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 15GB NVMe disk space, and 1TB traffic, the range extends to the VIP plan at the upper echelon. The VIP plan boasts 12x 3.6 GHz CPUs, 16GB RAM, 200GB NVMe space, and an impressive 30TB traffic limit.
Website Builder
AdminVPS provides clients with three distinct and budget-friendly website builder plans, each incorporating hosting. With incremental enhancements in features, customizable templates, advanced plugins (such as custom HTML code, Banners, and Feedback Forms), and increased disk space compared to the preceding one, these plans are seamlessly integrated into the ispmanager hosting control panel.
Security
AdminVPS employs Tier III+ rated data centers, exclusively utilizing enterprise-grade SSD drives in a RAID 10 setup (also known as RAID 1+0). This RAID configuration combines disk mirroring and disk striping to ensure both data protection and redundancy, contributing to a high level of availability. As previously mentioned, ISPManager serves as the control panel across all their plans, incorporating the Dr. Web Module for real-time anti-virus and anti-spam scanning. Additionally, all plans benefit from complimentary L2-L4 DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) attack protection, with the option to opt for L7 protection, the highest level of defense against intricate attacks, for an extra monthly fee.
Every plan includes free SSL certificates by Let’s Encrypt, and users can also opt for a diverse array of more advanced certificates such as Sectigo PositiveSSL and GlobalSign OrganisationSSL Wildcard, albeit incurring an additional fee.
OS
They implement the Ubuntu Operating System on their Shared Hosting plans. This widely used Linux distribution-based OS (operating system) is based on Debian and composed mostly of free and open-source software. VPS clients also have the added choice of CloudLinux, or they can install their own preferred OS as they provide full root access.
Support
If you encounter issues and require assistance from their support team, you can reach out via Phone, Email, a Ticketing System, or Live Chat at any time, as they provide round-the-clock support. Responses are prompt, especially if you communicate in Russian. Personally, I found this aspect a bit challenging, as expressing my questions seemed to get lost in translation. However, after a few attempts, I eventually received the assistance and answers I needed. Response times on live chat are typically less than a minute, while emails are addressed within about an hour or two.

If you reside in Russia and are seeking a secure, scalable, and budget-friendly hosting provider with reliable uptime and outstanding performance, AdminVPS is worth considering. They provide a diverse range of hosting services at competitive prices and appear to offer effective customer support, particularly if you are fluent in Russian. However, given their primary focus on the Russian market and exclusive data centers in Eastern Europe, there might be more suitable alternatives if you are located elsewhere.
