Important:

nothing becomes more expensive for you — you don’t pay extra;
the commission comes from the company’s marketing budget, not your pocket;
there are no hidden markups for visitors.

Does this affect our rankings and reviews?

Short answer: no.

We build rankings and reviews using clear criteria: we look at plans, features, usability, user feedback, and more (all of this is described in our methodology).

We don’t sell spots in rankings and we don’t publish paid “custom” reviews — we haven’t done it before and we won’t do it in the future.

Also, Hostings.info works with most hosting providers listed on the site, so there’s no reason for us to “push” anyone unfairly. It’s simply easier (and more honest) to keep the same evaluation rules for everyone.

Why we chose this monetization model

Online projects usually have a few options: ads (banners), subscriptions, donations, or affiliate programs.

We chose the affiliate model because it:

doesn’t annoy readers (unlike banners that pop up everywhere);
doesn’t make the site heavier or slow down loading;
allows us to keep all materials free for everyone.

In other words, affiliate links help support the project without ruining the reading experience.

How to tell if a link is an affiliate link

Sometimes links include extra parameters like ref, partner, utm, and similar tags. They are used only for tracking referrals.

These tags:

don’t affect security;
don’t send your personal data;
don’t change the page you land on.

Why we disclose this openly

Because transparency is the foundation of trust.

If we expect honesty and openness from hosting companies, we should follow the same principles. That’s why we clearly explain how monetization works and why it does not affect our reviews.
