Programmer asked to change the MySQL configuration ft_min_word_len (from the default values "3" to "1"). I wrote to the technical support, but I`ve been already waiting for an answer for twenty-four hours. How can I configure this option by myself?

Hi! If you have shared hosting, you can`t change it by yourself, because you need root access.  you can only change this yourself on a VPS or dedicated server, it needs to be changed in the /etc/my.cnf file.
If the UPU in the mysql config file (usually /etc/my.cnf - Centos, /etc/mysql/my.cnf -Debian / Ubuntu) ft_min_word_len change the value from 3 to 1. If there is no option to add a line in the config ft_min_word_len = 3. Restart the database server.

You can`t do it yourself on a shared hosting. Waiting 24 hours for service means your hosting provider isn`t the best. It`s worth thinking about switching :) On VPS hosting you can change it in the MySQL configuration file.
Hi, you don`t specify the service you use. If you have shared hosting, the parameters can be changed only upon request to the Help Desk with their approval. I would recommend that you order a VDS server, then you can solve these problems by yourself in 5 minutes.
