• How to configure the sending of messages?

    • views 825

I have just installed a thunderbird. However, when sending, the following message appears: "Error sending mail: The mail server replied: <names are prohibited>: MX records in DNS: Make sure that the email address you specified in the account parameters is correct, and try again. " How to set up to send the letters correctly?

Most likely you are trying to send an email to an incorrect or non-existent address. Try to send to an existing address first, for example, to your own mailbox.

Perhaps you did not correctly configure the program. The configuration depends on which mailbox you are using. As a rule, the configuration guide provides the hoster including the ports which to use, etc.
