Do all hosters require documents?
- views 1227
Here is my problem: many hosting providers require documents, or a scanned copy. Is that legitimate? Because I don`t want to give them my personal information.
Solutions (1)Requiring documents is legal if it complies with the rules or the contract-offer that you areed to before purchasing the hosting service. This is dictated by the fact that when registering domains, the administrator of this zone has the right to demand supporting documents. Also, documents may be required when making agreements with legal entities. But it is worth noting that you should send copies of your documents only to those hosting providers that you are sure are legitimate and licensed. You can check their license by using our website and clicking on any hosting provider from our lists.
Answers (1)Yes, it`s legal. And, it is required by law.. If the hoster does not require this information, it`s better to avoid using them.
