Namecheap is a great choice for Wordpress website projects, they have fast and reliable hosting services. All of their web hosting plans are backed by Namecheap’s Hosting Guarantee. This guarantee represents the highest quality you can expect from Namecheap and underlines their commitment to providing excellence in their hosting division.
FAQS:
Is Namecheap Shared Server Hosting cloud-based? No, although all Namecheap Shared Hosting plans are hosted on a Solid-State Drive (SSD), which helps to enhance performance over traditional hard disk drives (HDD). SSDs also contain no moving mechanical parts, offering faster access time and low latency. Namecheap Stellar Business plans with a US datacenter and all plans with an EU datacenter are, however, based on Cloud Storage. Here, traditional physical machines are converted to virtual machines (VM), running on a readily-available VM infrastructure.
How is hosting location-specific? It is ideal for your hosting server location to be as close to your audience as possible. If you need affordable hosting for Europe and/or Africa audiences then it’s a good idea to find Shared Hosting in Europe. This means your website and web pages will load faster, you’ll have higher search engine rankings, and you’ll boost your SEO. So for the best Shared Hosting EU, look no further than Namecheap’s EU datacenter, which is also 100% renewable energy-powered.
Should I choose VPS Hosting instead of Shared Web Hosting? A VPS gives you access to your own personal server, one that’s split up into several virtual servers with allocated resources (disk space and bandwidth) as well as a pre-installed operating system (OS) of your choice. For website owners looking to grow and scale up, a VPS is highly recommended. If your website is too big for Shared Web Hosting but too small to benefit from Dedicated Server Hosting, a VPS is the right choice for you.
Plans
Note! Some companies do not include VAT in their prices. Prices are indicated for one month’s pay. If you pay for a longer period - discounts are possible. Domain prices are indicated for new domains registration.
NameCheap is the best cheap web hosting provider that I’ve found to date. They offer excellent pricing on decent hosting. While it’s not the fastest or has the best uptimes, this is easily remedied through the use of CDNs. While it could be a problem for websites using forms and/or web apps, the standard business site or personal blog shouldn’t suffer too badly from it when combined with a CDN. NameCheap’s support is extremely geeky compared to other web hosting providers, and while this may be a negative for an inexperienced user, it is a huge plus for programmers and web designers. I highly recommend going for their VPS or Reseller hosting, as their service operates best with speed and uptime when you purchase dedicated bandwidth and hardware as opposed to purchasing a stand-alone shared hosting plan.

Namecheap should stick with offering just domain names, not hosting services. Here's why:
Domain names are what they are good at. It's no surprise that they offer free domain names on sign up. If you are planning to move your site to theirs, they offer migration services for free. I also like that they have full 30-day money back guarantee. You'll have a chance to back out if you don't like their services within 30 days.
You'll definitely need one because:
Their uptime was better in the first month we signed up. However, the next several months got worse.
Page loading times affect how our customers react to our site. I found that my page takes around 6 seconds to load which is bad for business.
As with customer support? Better rely on their Frequently Asked Questions page because it took me 10 minutes to get to them and multiple representatives to answer my problem.

Namecheap if my go-to site for domain name registration, but I'm new with their hosting. I have been using their hosting service for almost a year now — the cheapest hosting plan I have but with excellent service. Cpanel's main dashboard is user-friendly and easy to manage, especially if your domain name is also registered with them. Though sometimes I have an issue with my website speed, the security and uptime are excellent. Lastly, they use an older version of PHP. Do not hesitate to contact their support; they are very helpful.
I've been using the NameCheap host for the past three years. The primary advantage of NameCheap is that its price is fine. Another good thing is that NameCheap hosting accounts have 2x weekly backups. I should back up myself too, it's a security guard. And the backups are included for free with NameCheap that we don't have to do differently. Typically, it features paid or limited bonus features to competitors such as web hosting hubs, DreamHost or HostGator. NameCheap has good customer service, the interface is easy to use, has high-security standards but the server speed doesn't seem to be as good as expected.
As I mentioned in the Pricing section, NameCheap puts caps on domains, disk space, databases and email addresses. Namecheap can be great if you know 1 to 2 sites are small. However, many website owners do not have the problem in their own caps, but how few of the NameCheaps are in the end, they have less restrictions on WordPress auto-installs. However, I recommend using it for its reliability and good brand reputation.

Been using Namecheap for the past 2 years ongoing and have been very satisfied with their service. I am a web developer and I have many websites that I need to host, maintain and have full flexibility in setting up new domains and staging environments on the fly.
After working with multiple hosting companies with clients, I decided to use Namecheap because it has a great price for it's value. The shared hosting plans start at only a few dollars per month which are great for cheap testing sites and staging enviroments. Been using Stellar Hosting as my cheap starting point and upgrading with ease to VPS Quasar when things got ready for live and needed more power and stability. The cheap plans are slow but easy transfers and upgrades to higher plans with quick support made me stick with them. Good for developers with many sites, very cheap prices, not best at performance

I was using NameCheap for 20+ domain names for years and had no problems with the service. The domain management panel was intuitive and straightforward and the prices were very affordable.
This was before I decided to try their shared hosting as well. The speed was relatively slow, compared to websites I had with other hosts. And this was on a completely new WordPress installation, not even a big website.
When I contacted support, they gave me some excuse and moved me to another server. The situation there was not much different. It seems that NameCheap is heavily overselling servers.
Final verdict - good for domains, poor for hosting.

Even though the company is mainly known for its domain sales (I have bought a couple from them), the hosting service is surprisingly good. Prices are ok,speed could be better and service reliability is great.
But the best is their support team. From more than 30 hosting companies I used, Namecheap is among one of the best regarding their support. The live chat makes it super quick to resolve small issues, and via email, the answers are always helpful and professional. That alone is worth the price and wins against other hosting companies.

Another place to find some good deals on domain names that found out they had hosting service - so why not give it a try. I gave it a try loved the domain pricing and wordpress hosting pricing but that's where it all ended. The site load time took forever for the short 3 months I was there with occasional downtime (which most have and is average compared to others). But the support wasn't the best and couldn't figure out why the site was slow even with a clean install of WordPress.

Do not use this company. Their speed is horrible and when you contact their support team they put you on hold for mins and than transfer your chat to another team member who does the same.
My website is a video-oriented website. i was on their shared hosting plan but due to my speed issues i upgraded my account to VPS hosting.
They promised me improve in the speed but after 4-5 days of setup the speed gets even worst than shared hosting.
They did not provided me any support infact i hired someone to manage my vps hosting.

Do not use this company. It is cheap but so as their services and servers. The speed is slow; the bandwidth is limited although they say it's unlimited. SSL is not automatic at all you have to do it manually and when you connect to their support staff they are operating it from India and highly non-technical as they will waste your time. Better find some other company than wasting time here.
Not recommended.
Targeted at the lower end of the hosting market (the name gives you a hint), I have found it does nothing great, but also nothing terrible.
The price is obviously the key selling point for most users, and you can't complain there. But I have found that it's speeds are slightly slower than other low priced options.
I haven't experienced any down time whilst using their hosting (they promise 100% uptime). In my opinion though not having outages shouldn't really be a selling point as I have this expectation with any hosting provider I use.
There Customer Support was the low point for me, I always want quick and knowledgeable advice, and I find the waits tiresome and the lack of knowledge from some of their support frustrating.
That said, for the price, would I recommend, sure.

We highly recommend not to purchase the cheapest hosting package. Usually, they come with a row of issues: the server is often down, the hardware is outdated, lousy and slow support, registration and payment errors, etc.
For your convenience, we have created a tool that can help you to choose the right hosting package for you just by answering a few simple questions.
CMS is a content management system. A lot of hosting providers offer so-called CMS optimized packages. However, this is a marketing trick because most CMSs do not have special software or hosting requirements.
Bulletproof hosting - it’s a type of service that allows to host almost any type of content, even the restricted one (adult content, warez, spam etc). Bulletproof hosting providers do not remove your content in case someone reports an abuse.
Unlimited hosting - refers to companies that provide packages with unlimited disk space, bandwidth, number of domains, databases or email accounts, etc. This is usually a marketing trick but sometimes you can find something worth a try.
Secure hosting - it’s a type of service when the hosting provider is mostly responsible for the security of the user’s account: updates the software installed on their servers, provides an antivirus and malware scanner, firewalls and basic anti-DDoS protection, etc.
DDoS-protected hosting - companies that provide packages that include anti-DDoS protection. These packages are considerably more expensive than regular ones. Nevertheless, they’re totally worth their price because the company will ensure that your website is secured from cyber attacks.
The more comfortable the control panel is, the easier will it be for you to change the website and hosting account settings.
Most hosting providers that are in TOP20 in our rating offer user-friendly control panels, such as cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin. That’s why we recommend to pay attention to other, more important parameters, while choosing a hosting provider.
