Editor's opinion
Lorienz Galarpe
I am a website designer and developer for over 7 years now, and I worked with several hosting companies in the past for each website project I handle.
First impression
The company Garmtech has been around for quite a while, and is focused on providing high quality hosting to people marketing to the Latvian people. They are physically located in Latvia and most of their site is in this language, though they do have a translation in English available. They claim to really focus on proving the fastest hosting in the region, and from what I can tell they are able to meet those promises. The company offers shared hosting, VPS as well as dedicated servers. They also provide domain name registration and SSL certificates to those who need them.
They offer a professional website builder for free when you purchase their hosting services.
Choose any template from the “E-Commerce” section, attach a product photo (take a photo with your phone) and a description, connect to any payment system. The online store is ready! Add products for upsale (additional products that the client can buy together with the already selected product) and increase your turnover and income 5 times.
Trial period
There is no trial period but they will help to find the best feature for you, but if you will be unsatisfied with the quality of our services, we will provide a 15-day money back guarantee.
Billing cycle
For all of their hosting services including (Shared Hosting, Wordpress Hosting, and Cloud Server Hosting), they have monthly, Annually, Biennially and Triennially billing cycle plans which is very convenient.
Control panel
Garmtech uses the standard version of its cPanel, so you can easily find all the main management modules – file manager, email accounts, domains, software, and databases.
Setting up Garmtech is simple whether you choose to go with the site builder option or you want the classic cPanel dashboard. Assuming you opt for shared hosting on a Linux server, just fill out a form when prompted with a username and password and GoDaddy will set up WordPress for you (it’s the CMS the web host suggests).
For managing your webspace, installing applications, and setting up email addresses, Garmtech provides cPanel. Aside from the overwhelming number of icons on display when you first log in, it’s fairly easy to use.
Garmtech offers Softaculous’ Install Now button for rapid WordPress installation. You can configure your installation with advanced options, but in most cases the default settings are fine.
Limits
Garmtech have different limitations on each hosting service, referring to their Wordpress Hosting there are 3 options to choose from, first is the cheapest called “WP Beginner” which can host only 1 website, free SSL certificate and 50GB NVMe Disk Space. And the top hosting plan service can host up to 5 websites, up to 200GB disk storage, unlimited email accounts, 4x performance boost, free SSL certificate and free website backup features.
Security
Garmtech includes a few security features for your website in its web hosting plans, but they’re minimal. You get a basic SSL certificate for free for the first year, daily backups and GoDaddy provides network security for its own servers (24/7 monitoring), but if you want more security, you’ll have to pay.
A domain validation SSL certificate is available for every individual, business, sole trader and private customer. There is no paperwork; all you need to do – pass validation using your email or alternative validation methods only. You will receive an issued SSL immediately after passing verification.
OS
Their hosting services offer Linux and Windows operating service servers.
Support
While it seems like they provide 24/7 technical support, the page is only in Latvian.
Even when you select the English option it still displays all in Latvian, which is not very helpful. They do have live support, but it is listed as away so it is not an option off hours. You can submit a ticket to get support, and they also have an extensive knowledge base available in four languages. One of them is English, where they have 95 unique articles.

You’ll get just about all the features you could ask for when it comes to high quality hosting. First of all, you get to choose from either Windows or Linux hosting for shared and VPS options (dedicated you can put whatever you want up.) In addition, you’ll get solid state drives at all levels, which helps to dramatically improve site response times. Beyond that, there is a long list of features available including PHP5, Tomcat 5, Multiple script options that load in one click, directory password protection, and much more. From what I have been able to tell, if there is a hosting feature you need, this company has it available to use.
If you are targeting customers in Latvia or the surrounding area, this is an excellent hosting company to work with. They seem to provide high quality hosting at all levels, and you’ll have plenty of choices to ensure you are getting exactly what you need.
